Yeah but just because you're a ski bum doesnt mean you have to settle for pbr. Sure its relatively cheap and readily available but i would definitely rather spend longer drinking a decent beer than feeling like i half to half chug a couple of pbrs to get past the shit flavour ,unless you're only drinking it to get wasted, but surely there is a drink which is a better price per volume of alcohol than that?

Let me set the scene for you:
It's been a long, albeit gratifying, powder day.
You're sleeping in the funky sleeping bag in the back of your Subaru
You have three dollars and 58 cents in your pocket and a box of stale crackers in the glove box.
The sign out front of the bar in the lodge says "$1.00 PBRS!"
You don't walk in and say "I'll take a extremeherpmicrobrewlight for three dollars."
You walk in an say "give me three PBR's and someone hand me the peanuts."

You make a valid point. In this scenario it doesnt make sense to go for any other option, but surely its a supply and demand type deal and i just dont understand the massive hard-on for it. Maybe im just used to the general higher standard of european beer, being from the uk and so its just not to my taste.

razor-chaz, you usually have to have hair on your chest to appreciate something like a cold pabst. i highly recommend you ski a long hard day and try one, i think you'll be surprised.
