Where can I find a good boot fitter?

So I'm in the market for purchasing some boots. I am primarily looking at Dabello Krypton Series, and yes, I fit in them.

I went over to Kitsap Sports, the closes place to where I live, and while they seem helpful the prices there are a bit high. I was looking at a Krypton Cross with the ID liner for about 499. Are there any places around here that might have that for a bit cheaper? I'm willing to cross over into the seattle area given the trip is worth my time.

... I just found the boot online for $279... gah, why must boots be so damn complicated to purchase!

Check out Sturtevants in either Puyallup or Bellevue. I know they sell Dalbello, whether or not they have the Cross in stock is unknown. Great service, worth a call to see if they have the boots. They have a boot fitting guarantee if you buy the boots from them.

hahaha, man, that's what I wanted to hear. I mean, they were nice and all, but I agree, the price was kind of high for me. I'll check out Sturts over in Puyallup.

support the shops blah blah everyone should. What i dont get in this one circumstance is why u dont just buy it online then? U already got fitted and already told urself ur not gonna buy from there so u might as well just buy them online.

he went to kitsap sports fool. he did not get fitted, although supposably the guy there is good I paid $60 for a stretch that did not hold.

I am the best boot fitter! Cept I work at the downtown bellevue sports authority, and we dont have the best selection. But...yeah....

yeah, never buy retail from kitsap sports, they jack the prices way up. but if you hit the timing right they do have some good sales, oh yeah, most of the people there are not knowledgeable.

I just bought some tecnica agent 100's at Evo's liquidation sale out in Issaquah this weekend. I beleive his name was Matt... fitted me and did a good job. He's the head ski dude at Evo in Fremont I think

Dude I got hired like a month ago for just a nice easy part time job with school.........and they put me at 40 hours a week. So basically, I'm putting in my 2 weeks on Wednesday.

exactly. buy your boots at seattle ski, get them fitted, go back whenever if you have any issues with them. awesome service.

go to Mt Pilchuck the always have better deals then everyone else and its super mellow there not full of rich priks like sturts (hate goin there)... go talk to brian or michael long they'll hook you up for sure... I promise. Brians real good at boot fitting too same with Brant or Mike Tracy or Andy. A lot of good guys there.

Apparently it wouldn't have mattered what shops you guys referred me to because all the shops you guys mentioned did not have either the krypton pro, cross or the rampage in my size (29.5). In addition, Kitsap Sports seemed to have the cheapest prices available locally and in comparison to the Seattle/Bellevue area. So apparently all this talk about Kitsap sports being more expensive and having poor selection, in my case, was not true.

oh snap!

So, it looks like I will be going with Kitsap Sports... I'll let you guys know how the bootfitting process goes. Maybe I can sway your thoughts of this mom and pops shop...

not a shop, but theres a guy in Ballard... his business has a pretty generic name and he runs it out of his basement... its like pro boot service... custom boot service... something like that. the guy knows his shit though.

Yah Matt is the ski buyer for evo..he does a good job. Was there any dude with a name tag that said Alex fitting boots too? That guy had no idea what he was doing.

PS: Alex = me.

I asked Robyn to help me over at Sturtevans this weekend. I have to say, she knows her shit, and helped me any my shins out a lot. Now I just need to find some FT Konflicts under $550.

Custom boot. And yes he does. That's all he does so you don't have to worry about him pressuring you into a boot that is not right for you simply to eliminate stock or whatever.
