When is the touchscreen ipod coming out?

im tired of searching the forums, so does anyone know when the next generation of ipod is coming out? ive heard it would be the touchscreen thing for a long time, but i have never seen an official word on it or when it comes out.
 
When the whole "touchscreen ipod" thing came out with pics all over the internet, it was basically the iphone. Just a big screen. go buy the iphone.
 
i want an ipod period. im just wondering if the new ones are coming out soon, or if i should just buy a video one.
 
none of this is true it is pure speculation, apple will not release info until macworld in jan.
 
make ur own ipod out of parts off ebay. but instead of using a ipod shell use a cig box. that would make u so ghetto steez
 
i'm guessing they will let the iphone hype wear off then just before christmas it will come out
 
just get an ipod video, zune, or creative zen.

If/when a touchscreen ipod comes out, it will just have more screen to scratch and cost much more.
 
yeah kinda, but if you plan on enjoying movies on the move, you need a larger screen

they can still fit in your pocket, and record off of the TV

they also have touchscreen ones with internet access

 
my gigabeat records live tv too, its kinda like a zune, its got radio and whatnot, but its smaller and doesnt do the wireless stuff.

as to the kid that was looking for a player, deff. look into the zune, if your on a pc, it should deff. be your first stop, i've had some shit luck with apple, my 60 gig broke 5 times, and was always, and i mean ALWAYS a pain in my ass to get connected and recognized on my computer. it took like 15 damn minutes. my gigabeat (almost the same as a zune) connects in 2 seconds, automatically sincs everything, including video's, and the videos that are not in the correct format are changed FOR ME, i dont even have to do anything. shits dope.
 
no....ipod just makes shoddy product. some ipods last for 10 years. others last for 3 weeks, like mine did. people buy ipods because its trendy...not because of their ZOMG APPLE MAC QUALITY STEVE JOBS NUT ON MY FACE PLEEEASE
 
it didnt break physically, which is what pissed me off. it was all software and shit, like it got the error and then went all "frowny face" and shit on me. then you cant even fix it and you ahve to send it out and wait another week. idk it was just a pain in my ass. but wiripper that made me laugh hahah
 
in three weeks my headphone jack loosened so that the music only went to my right ear, the ipod started skipping and compltelty skipping songs.

im not an idiot, so obviously i didnt ski with it or do anything that would void a warranty.

im just over apple/mac.
 
...uhhh, so what does that mean? i mean not that i car, my old ipod decides when it wants to work and when it doesnt now, yeah wierd right, its all frowny and shit then one day like a few months later i turn it on and it plays, then later it goes frowny. eitherway, i didnt pay for a hardware problem :-( hahah
