So are mountain is supposed to open this friday. But not going to happen. Its supposed to be 50-60 degrees this whole week and like 65 on opening day. The mountain needs 3 days to blow snow constantly.
WELL THIS SUCKS!

Good snowmaking temps at elevation this week for Central VT. Warming slightly later in the week into the weekend. Low humidity through mid-week too which should allow for good snowmaking production with a low wet-temp.

East coast is getting NO love from mother nature currently though. But don't get too distraught. In a week or two we should see a pattern change towards more winter-like weather.

Ski areas are hurting though and will likely have very little terrain open for Thanksgiving weekend this year.

They were open this past Friday-Sunday. They closed mid-week.

My guess is they will reopen later this week, Friday likely, for the season.

"sometimes the prettiest flower blooms last"

(im pretty sure that its a quote from that disney movie MULAN)

SOUTHERN PA has been ignored by nature. Not a single day of snowmaking so far and highly unlikely till the 27th, so much for the thanksgiving miracle we got last year.
