Whats up with 8 different dudes going down the same rail in movies

In all the ski movies they have like 8 different dudes going down the same rail in some public park. Is that supposed to be progression or something or just filler space in movies. Its cool in skate movies because you can be a lot more creative on the rails.

most likely filler. people are always slow to recognize filler in their own movies. or else they just don't talk about it.

thats like saying:

"Whats up with more than 1 person hitting the same table in a terrain park?"

it is so obvious that I am not going to even dignify you with an answer.

i pretty much agree with the poster. i hate seeing the same feature in many different parts. people end up doing the same tricks, or if they don't, it becomes predictable anyways, and some of the tricks are second rate. keep the bangers, and throw the rest away.

I will give an example in skimatic its a great movie worth every cent. I just didnt like all the random rail shots they did. How many times can you watch JF cusson go down a rail in some public park in the middle of summer. I felt like i was watching a skateboard video half the time. I love when they had sessions in the park and pow. Laurent favre and Charles Gagnier had some real creative shots on the rails but leave the other shit out.

Agreed. I hate it when you see the same rail/session in different parts of people segments. There starting to do it more and more, but i like it when they set it up as sessions, or like everyone together that went to that feature in one part of the movie, not the same feature in 10 different parts of the movie if that makes any sense

agreed , ive always wanted to see a seg thats like 2 mins long of nothing but complete hammers, . The closest ive ever seen to that was T hall in dubski106

It's cool if they do it like in a trip segment and highlights something unique that one of the guys do on it. But it's stupid when it's just cookie cutter where it's like the same thing but the guy has different clothes and skis. Skateboarding can pull it off because they have(or had) spots that are just famous, and it's like a way to gauge the trick in relation to the spot. Like Carlsbad gap, Hubba ledge or Love park.

gee, kinda like chads and pyramids? skiing has some of those places too. I kinda like a segment with plenty of simple skiing too. are you saying you want a segment of nothing but switch 10s and 450s? not to mention if people were paying 20-30 bucks for 15 minute videos there would be a lot more complaints.

I like to see different rails, and different skiers, but the movie company doesn't have enough filmers to go to each skier's favorite rail by themselves, and do private sessions.
