what's up in tahoe?

here in ohio they had a story on the local news on how tahoe is getting dumped on with record snow. is it powder heaven out there and is there big avalanche dangers?

 
the snow looked a little wet and heavy, I'm sure the avy danger is ridiclous. Here at alta we got 111 inches since 12/27 and the Avy danger is through the roof right now

yeah i should dump another 4-5 feet today. when it clears up tomorow im going up to squaw.

Some kid was riding the lift when a big ass avalanche came down and took him out. He is dead.

crested butte has gotten like 60' or something in the past three days, theres so much powder up there we dont know what to do with

well lets see... they had to close down all major roads in and out of the sierra last weekend... and um, its still storming like a mother and, ive not seen the ammount of snow up there for a good number of years.... basically, your news was correct... were going to have a solid snowpack into june this year... and a lot of water in the lake next summer, which is also a good thing.
