Im planning on passing through on my way back to Utah right after christmas, right now the skiing in utah's pretty sucky, so instead of going straight through we're thinking of stopping in CO and getting a day of skiing in.

hows the season going so far? (terrain open) I know southern colorado has snow now but we were hoping to stay north simply for driving reasons.

Looking at Seamboats website lift tickets are insanely expensive, (99 bucks) is there anyplace I can get us hooked up for tickets? like ski shops that sell them for cheap?

pray for snow!

Hopefully you bring some snow with you, we are hurting. Best way to get a discounted lift ticket is to find a person/friend with a season pass and have them go to the ticket window with you. I think you can get like $30 bucks off a ticket...could be even more.

Just wait in the parking lot and ask some park kids if they will buy you a ticket in exchange for a brew or two (well like you give them the money and a few beers), most people will do it as Ive never heard of someone using all their buddy passes but it can be a hassle if the person at the counter is retarded or new (happened to me 2x now).

you could check out echo for some cheap tickets, i think they're like 40 or 50 dollars for a day ticket....no idea what they're park is like right now though.
