What's this shortcut key?

i'm trying to get back to standard window using that shortcut, but i dont' know what "^U" means? any body know?

i believe its what you can type in so that you dont have to use the menu. A few taps of the key board go's much quicker if you know your short cuts

yeah i know what a shortcut key i was just wondering what "^U" meant. i leanred that it means ^ means control. so to do that i had to press control U. thanks for helping anyway.
