I was skiing tonight and had an old pair of Nike SBs sitting under the table along with a backpack and some glove guards. Came back in and boom the shoes were gone... Dont know people are now so low they steal peoples old shoes. So NS whats the worst thing you;ve had taken?

People that steal shoes at a ski hill are just complete dicks. Now you have to drive barefoot or with your ski boots..

I've had 2 ski poles stolen (each one a a different time). I caught one kid and got it back. He was a little white trash snowboarder. Then the other one was a punk ass snowboarder who was the typical tool wearing a bunch of pbr stuff. he made it into a gopro pole mount. I ended up finding him a month and a half later. he ruined the pole, so i made a point of snapping it in front of him and tossing it into the woods.

this^^ it was probably one of my asshole friends or something that hide them, because my skis were moved to.

Leica M6 with 50mm Summicron, Luigi case and ten rolls of film all in a canvas bag.

Thank god for insurance.

i stole some zebra cakes from right in front of the lunch lady in third grade. i also stole gushers from a girl while they were right in front of her. i felt like a champ.

one time at band camp i stole this snowboard and cut it in half and then put it back in the same spot for the fucker to see what happend to his board.

last winter someone broke into my house and stole two pairs of skis from my front hall. which is next level gutty. on another note (not very relevant but hilarious) two of my brothers and some of their buddies thought it would be funny to steal this ugly gnome that is near our house and they ended up completey destroying it. they broke off its foot, threw it in a pool, and covered it with mediocre tattoos. of course they thought it wasn't a big deal thinking it was some cheap gnome from canadian tire or something but a couple days later there was an article in our local newspaper about the "missing" gnome and apparently it was worth 16,000 dollars... the the artist who made it had art in the MET in NYC. they returned it and got caught, but the wife who owned it was so chill about it and didn't press any charges.

Cool story... but actually, thats a good one, i had two ipods stolen in the same year a few years ago

i got my calculator stolen out of my backpack in 10th grade

ironically i got another calculator stolen out of my room in college, but that time i also got my ipod, watch, and a bunch of caesh stolen too

I got a longboard stolen from me when I was younger, right out of my garage. It sucked cause I had gotten it for Christmas so I had waited all winter to actually be able to use it then it got stolen

Wallet out of my truck. Lost a bunch of money and gift cards. Worst part is getting all your cards back. Pain in the ass. Don't leave your wallet in your car.

I got my money stolen out of my wallet by my brother multiple so he could pay for his drug habit.

I had to buy a safe to put in my room to stop it.

2010 Macbook Pro. Had it stolen right out of my hands in downtown Portland. Chased him on foot but the guy had a driver.. Searched 2 weeks on craigslist trying to find it. sucked

I had a ski bag stolen which contained the following: Dynastar Candide Thovex pro-model twin tip skis, poles, avi gear, ski jacket, ski pants, pair of Nikes, towel. Left me skiing in jeans, hoody and rental skis for the rest of my ski holiday. Cunts.

Someone stole $650 from me. Was very painful cause it was rent money. It was also hidden so only about 5 people could have taken it.... Still don't know who did it.

I also had a dvd case stolen that had at least 100 dvds ranging from $5 to $20... so that was worth a lot of money... I'm now back up to 15. Sadly, it was stolen from a locked dorm building in which the only people with access were my 6 co councilors and about 15 campers. Not stoked that a 12 year old stole my dvd collection.

I'm sure there are people here who have been in way worse situations though. The only things I own worth anything anymore are my laptop and my ski boots. Everything else is very replaceable.

I was really into xc mountain biking and I had a very sweet Kona Kula bike that I really liked. I won a race and there was a picture of me on my bike with my name in the newspaper. The next day my bike was stolen from inside my house.

Luckily, insurence paid for it. With the money I bought a Kula Deluxe which was worth about 3000$. That was the nicest bike ever and I planned on actually keeping it forever. Too bad it got stolen, locked inside the house, about 3 weeks later. I then abandoned mountain biking.

Fuck this shit.

My brother had a party when my parents were out of town and I was out with friends. Someone stole my:

1. 2000 Volvo S40

2. MacBookPro

3. TomTom GPS

and a bunch of other stuff.

They caught the stupid kid who did it. Went to court to receive my restitution. He was the only one in the entire morning session with a private attorney. His mom was there with him (he was like 20). He had a brand new suit, his mom had Chanel sunglasses and a Gucci handbag. They argued that he "could not afford" to pay the $1500 I was out in deductibles from the car/home insurance. Agreed to monthly payments of $50 until the balance has been paid off. I received the first payment and that was it. So I sent the court a letter every month when the payments did not appear. Last I heard, there is a warrant out for his arrest for failing to appear for his other court hearings. I'll probably never see the money, but it will hang over him (including his credit and criminal record) until it is paid off.

get a good ass lawyer and argue that you should be given a car from there garage of equal or lesser value. Fucking little scums like this piss me off so much

i had my bag stolen from the top of the park along with my gopro, transceiver, shovel, probe and a hoodywankers.

Unfortunately, that is not an option. At the restitution hearing, his lawyer said they would argue that the criminal's "psychological issues" prevent him from being able to have a job, and thus pay me any money. My insurance covered most of the losses with the exception of the deductibles, they could have gone after him for the loss, but did not. I was able to buy a newer, nicer car and replace the computer etc. I am more happy that he's going to jail when they catch him again than that I am out the money.

i had a single pole stolen as well and i just assumed it was an accident like who would steal 1 pole i definitely should have thought of a snowboarder taking it

My 300 dollar snowboard with 200 dollar bindings on it, so 500 dollars. (But im a skier now and its way better)

Laughing at the idea of me driving stick with ski boots on.

anyways, I used to cheerlead (inb4 cheerleading jokes) and we couldn't practice with jewelry on, so one day I took off my pearl earrings that my mom got in Hawaii on her wedding honeymoon 20 years ago, my blown glass earrings that I got in Hawaii the previous year from an important family friend, and my 10k white gold ring with multiple diamonds in it that I got as a graduation gift the previous year. I set it in the cup holder in our truck, and my brother went to get the interior of the truck cleaned.... no more jewelry. Sad day.

I've never stolen anything though.
