Whats the standard for competition skiers??

nowadays there are soon many freakish kids coming up shredding like no one expected. just wondering, what is the standard for an average competition skier these days. like what tricks should you be able to do.

There is no standard for tricks because there is no standard for the level of competition. I entered a tiny mogul contest at my home mountain this winter and got second place with a Cossack and a 360. If you're trying to win x games, you're going to need all 4 dubs and 2s on, and be able to do them every single time. Of course there exist a full spectrum between those two extremes depending on where you are, what the prize is worth, and who else happens to show up for the event. "Average competition skiers" don't exist.

The standard is going to vary depending on the level of competition. As previously mentioned, at the highest level, all dubs, 2/4/+ on and off, flips off/on, probably a triple, variety of grabs etc. Basically having all your tricks dialed with clean style and smooth landings. At a lower level, I would say all way corks, good grabs, a dub or two probably wouldn't hurt, big variety of rail tricks and again smooth clean style and landings. At the most basic level, rails both ways, a good cork 7 blunt, some switch spins...not really sure what you're looking for so hopefully this shed a little light. Above all, have fun skiing!

Doubles don't even cut it anymore. You need to have triples.

2s on don't cut it either. 4s on and consistent flips out are required.

I mean I watched a slopes type comp at my home mountain, an the winning kid was 15 and throwing dubs, and misty 4s out like nothing.
