Side hitting is an art. Having a keen eye for it goes a long way. There are a few types:
Rollers: unlipped feature with a steep slope behind it. Straight line an pop.
Mergers: when one lower elevation run joins with a higher one. Groomers do a fantastic job on it. Line up the side and pop
obstructions: stuff like treelets, rocks ditches. They tend to be steep transitions and require more “diving board” like take off.
My favorite is the woops bumps. A straight line of bumps. Its a great place to learn take off and absorptions. Remember to always stay on the tongue of the boots and never on the heels
