You know I was going to respond this as well since he brought this trick to the mass audience but after looking at photos of Jonny Moseley doing mute graps the style is way off. The dude had them pretty proper and the clip art is pretty on the toe piece of the binding.

candide on chad's is what came to mind. it's not quite the same but close, so maybe a little artistic license was used and/or they used a frame or two earlier or later. not sure though, i'm not sure it's the source at all
