Wow that's fast, I couldn't break 105km/h straightlining skiers left of Divide, but it wasn't optimal conditions/skis and I'm a lot lighter.

In my resort in France, Vars, there's the world championship of speed.Just for basic information:

Starting altitude: 2720 m[/b]

Finishing altitude: 2285 m[/b]

Lengh[/i] : 1400 m[/b]

Difference in height[/i]:435 m[/b]

Maximum slope angle:[/i] 98%[/b]

Mean slope angle: 52.5%[/b]

the fastest man on skis with a top speed of 243.902 km/h during this comp.

On the same track I reached about 110km/hr. I shit in my pants to be honest when I felt I was at around 100km/hr..

66 MPH on stratton....i know i can break 70 next year just gotta throw on a fresh coat of wax and have the right conditinos

98 degrees? is that actually correct? that's genuinely just freefalling for part of it haha, and to everyone:Ski tracks is absolute shit, do you know how inaccurate it is? set me at 100km/h and I'm not a very fast skier, and that was against the wind, on like a blue/red at most. No chance is that correct, also I've compared it to more accurate devices sometimes and just know it's shit.

Straight-lining from the top of divide? I don't its possible to go that fast on any of sunshines groomed runs. The app can't be that accurate.

its quite accurate actually. i have 'tracked' speeds in a few different vehicles and the speed shown on the cars speedo and the gps reading from the app are usually within 1 or 2 km/hr of each other.

Also the conditions were perfect for some fast skiing, a little ice on top leading down into bye bye bowl and freshly groomed.

Week sauce dood, my friend had it going and I was right next to him and we got up to about 70ish (don't remember exactly) and it was at Stowe.

One of the scariest moments in skiing was when I was out West on Vacation. Me being from the East coast, long, wide open trails are quite enjoyable, and I do like to go fast. So the second run of the day I find the biggest, widest run I can, and bomb the shit out of it. I definitely feel I broke 80 MPH or so, but it was scary as shit because of the flatlight from a storm that morning. I'm confident if it had been sunny I'd have broken 90 at least.

That's dope! Didn't mean to say I thought you guys were BSing, just didn't realize that was possible. Anyways, props! I gotta try and get some higher speeds next year. Prob need a helmet for that though.

lolololol.....80 is so fucking fast dude....you don't realize how fast it really is. Also really hard to get to this speed depending on your wax, clothes your wearing (baggy shit, etc). There is no way you got anywhere near 90. l don't know how you ski but i think its safe to assume maybe you hit 80. I use ski tracks everday I go out and bomb runs and only hit like 70-72.

i posted the picture more for the guy saying they were recorded in cars not for you, and yeah a helmet would probably be a good idea haha

I did 82. 8 mph in Norway. Not bad for a 47 year old guy on 175 slalom skiis. It is fun trying this but only wise when slopes are empty.

Did 116.5km/h on a 30 degree 300m vert in baggy outwear and on old slow extruded base twin tips. Dont want to think what i could get with a real slope, downhill skis and slimmer fitting outerwear.

Gone faster, but my iPhone was stolen. This was a lap down to the park at Sunday River straight cruisin' fast on some blues.

Approx: 59.9 or so mph and it was on Ecstasy to Lower Uppercut to South Paw into Rocking Chair Terrain Park.
