What's the dumbest thing you've gotten in trouble for?

in highschool i got in trouble for wearing a fanny pack and the school ended up banning them, administration said that drugs could be hidden in them. guess they forgot that drugs can also be hidden in a backpacks/pants pockets/butt holes, but none of the latter were banned

that same year i got in trouble for playing with a dope ass hot wheels car at lunch with my friends and consequently all hot wheels were banned

A dumb kid kicked me in middle school for no reason, so I swung my backpack at him.

The Vice Principal was right there and I got suspended for "fighting"
 
The summer when I was 16, I came home from camping a couple hours ahead of the rest of my family to go hang out with friends. My mom texted me to come home to help unpack and I gave an ETA of another hour or so. Around that time, my typical punishment for things was I had to hand in my boot SSD so I couldn't use my computer. This one time, she didn't wait for me to get home and tried to get the hard drive out herself (which pissed me off itself) and found a bag of weed I hid inside my computer. I never even got to try any of it and they threw it all away :(
 
I have a few stories, but one that is similar to other posts.

I was in middle school age 12 and everyone was walking to gym down the hallway. I was walking to my locker to put my books and pencils away when I got pushed by some friends rough housing it and the pencil I was holding in my hand went straight into another kids ass cheek. The kid was wearing those light weight Hammer pants(dating myself here) which are just lightweight fabric and so the pencil went straight in and when I went to pull back he jumped back causing part of the pencil to break off still stabbed in his ass cheek. Kid ended up needing medical attention and I got blamed for stabbing him on purpose. It turned into a large ordeal and thankful the kids parents didnt press charges because it was a complete accident. To this day, I am pretty sure he still has lead in his ass.
 
A lot of stuff in school. The most dumb and unfortunately painful ones are losing jobs due to stupid bullshit. I've been on the wrong side of that twice in my life and it is not fun. Mistakes are mistakes and everything can be resolved usually but the mistakes that end up costing you a way to earn a living always sting. Kinda ruined my experience as a hospitality student which prompted a career/major change. Hospitality is pretty hit or miss and a lot of the time it's a miss.

I got some good stories from K-12 though. Like for instance in 4th grade, me and this one kid were really into WWII shit like most little boys are and drawing tanks/planes on our notebooks.....Except we made our drawings a little too detailed when it came to the german tanks and planes and might've accidentally drawn swasitaks on the tails of the planes. Whoops. Had a real long talk with my parents about that one. We were just going for historical accuracy.

me and all my homies freshman year of hs got caught smoking and vaping and all that good stuff cause my homies my eyes only on snap was his garage code and his mom guessed first try

The o ly time I've ever called in sick to work, I told them I was going to visit my sick grandmother. My mother and grandmother went to visit me at work that day. Man my boss thought I was an absolute moron from thet day on.

lmao i got in trouble at a similar age for drawing guns and tanks and bleeding guys all over some stupid craft at sunday school.
 
Killed some guy once and got suspended in HS.

in 5th grade, we had a going away party for the hot latina aid teacher. We all got a slice of cake for her going away party, and when I got mine, i (gently) shoved my own face in the frosting (of my own slice). teacher loved me all year, but she was, for some reason, very upset with me that i shoved my own face in the cake. She yelled at me and made me go to the bathroom to clean up (the little bit of frosting off my lips and nose) and i never felt more dishoned and embarrassed that day
 
not rly in trouble but when I was in HS our MTB league's director had beef with our coach that went back into the 90s bike racing scene... the team I was on had taken state championchip 3 years in a row and the race director was getting pissed cuz we were way too fuckin good cuz my town has some of the best trails in the state to train for XC bike racing on and solid ass coaching. So every race the director would be harsh as fuck on league regulations toward our team and would always find a way to try to get us in trouble or disqualify at least one of our kids.... even down to having a kid from another team try to frame my 14 year old sister who was one of the best in the league for smoking weed at a race.... which didn't even happen. and then even going down to say our team was using banned "caffeinated" energy gels.

man fuck that league
 
In middle school I was outside of the school with my football team. I was puttering around and kicked a small rock it took a weird bounce on a pothole and hit a car tire. Next thing I know a janitor came at me yelling that I hit the car on purpose, I said no why would I do that? She wasn't listening to me and already had it set in her mind that I aimed for the car which was like 30 feet to the left of where I kicked the small rock. Next thing I know she is running inside to get the principal and my coach. I got in trouble with the school and some how got the whole team in trouble and we had to run 100s the next day. My team wanted to kill me, I had to quit the team after that. All because of one middle school janitor that hated her life.
