What's the closest thing to a miracle that's ever happened to you?

i got hit by a car (car on person) and all i got for it was a concussion, and two cracked ribs... doctor said i should of had my legs cracked and a couple more injuries.
 
I laid down my motorcycle at 80 MPH going into a horseshoe turn wearing light weight cotton slacks. I slid on my ass for about 150 feet on asphalt and then slid into the ditch. My bike had some serious road rash; both cheeks of my pants were gone making me look someone who just walked out of a gay biker bar. The miracle part is that my boxers were still intact and I walked away without a scratch. Could have been really bad because I slid across the oncoming lane.
 
Well I would say getting hit by a car and surviving is way worse. One of the first times I drank was at my brothers wedding. I drank waayyy too much on an empty stomach and to make a long story short...went to the hospital.
 
Not so miraculous. i know 3 people this has happened to. to one it has happened twice. I assume maybe your heart just stopped? But if you woke up in the morgue then holy fucking shit!
 
ok, this didnt happen to me but it happened to a guy i roomed with last year. he got in a car wreck that threw him from the car (yeah, he is a bit of an idiot but overall a really nice person).. now there was probably about 3-4 feet of snow and when he came to, it was like a cartoon things where he had landed in the snow but there was no like skid mark type things into where he was sitting... kinda creepy.
 
oh yeah i know this happens to people and it wasn't anything that miraculous. the last thing i remember was my dad giving a speech. but apparently i was throwing up blood and like green stuff on the balcony during the reception. so they decided to take me home so i could rest..well at home i got worse. my breathing was shallow and i wasn't responding well. so my aunt and my ex took me to the emergency room..on the way there they pulled over on the side of the road because i stopped breathing. they called an ambulance to finish driving me there. i was pronounced dead in the EMT for i think they said a minute and a half or two minutes. but they brought me back.

when i got to the er i was hooked up to so many machines and tubes shoved down my throat. they called my entire family to the hospital to say goodbye because they didn't know if i'd make it.
 
i'm pretty sure that happened to THECLAP or w/e his name is now, i think he was pronounced dead from drinking too much or something along those lines
 
thats soo awesome man you win.

my good friend/neighbor had leukemia when he was like 12 and it was so painful to see him soo sick, but now hes perfectly fine. its awesome to hear such positive stories about such horrible diseases and such.
 
yeah i know. his wedding was fine but the reception was cut about an hour or so short.i still feel horrible. it sucks that i wasn't really a part of it.
oh and JakeC... props to battling cancer!
 
when i was born i had a weird disese that wouldnt allow my stomach to intake any solids, so when i got of my mums tit and onto food i had this massive reaction to it and had emergency surgery to try and fix it... doctor said i wouldnt of survived the day....

the only other thing i can think of (i cant compete with the other stories) was i was driving down the freeway, doing about 110kmph (dont know that in miles) and wasnt watching ahead, when i looked back, the cars had stopped and i was about 20 meters away from them so i couldnt stop, so i just swerved into the next lane.... it was very lucky there was no car next to me at the time because i would of been in the pooper. it felt like a miracle at the time!
 
When I was five I fell 20 feet from the bleachers at a sporting event straight onto my back. The doctors apparently said I should have seriously injured my spine, maybe even become a paraplegic but I came out without a scratch.
 
When I was 17 I had a crazy weird pain in my leg that made me not able to walk for like 3 days. I got it checked out and it turns out it was a tumor. If I hadn't had the pain in my leg, I could have lost my leg. If the pain didn't stop after a few days I could have still lost my leg because the pain was from the tumor cutting off blood to my leg. Either way I'm walking and very happy.
 
Last year going to school, My brother deciedes its a great idea to make a u-turn in the middle of the busiest road in my town to go back home for his wallet. As get like perpendicular to the road (were horizontal to the vertical tracks) A truck going about 70 hits us. The entire front end of my brothers car was blown up, the only part of the front that was left on his car (a little saab sadan) was basically the beggining of the cab itself. If he made the turn a second earlier he'd probably be dead and I'd be reallly fucked up righ tnow.
 
I got in a bike wreck alone 3 miles into the woods in Germany. A branch went through my armpit to the shoulder blade. The doctor pulled it out in the hospital and found that my brachial artery was resting on the branch.

I would have died, no question. Ride with a buddy.
 
Im still alive after landing lawn dart style with a dirt bike landing on top of me. It was a 65ft gap and I cleared it to the flat from about 20 ft in the air. spent a few weeks in the hospital with broken pelvis wrists ankle elbow spinal hematoma and a lacerated liver + a nasty concussion but every body claims the concussion lol.
 
I had a sixth sense for cops in high school. Left seconds before cops came to at least 8 parties shit you not. In one they were looking for me apparently (saw me hit a blunt on a roof), but when the cops busted the party, i had peaced 10 mins before hand. I am hoping my luck continues!

of course I am knocking on wood now. fuck!
 
when i was really little my family was having a picnic right by whitewater and i was throwing rocks into the water and slipped and fell on. i somehow grabbed a flat rock(i was like 6) and my dad ran over and pulled me out just before i got swept away...
 
When I was 6 I was bitten by a Death Adder Snake (6th Deadliest in the world) and it took three hours to get the hospital. Luckily I fell on top of it so it was a suprise bite.

When I was 8 our car got hit by a truck as we were going through an intersection, the truck couldn't stop it hit the foor oppisite me and the book spinning the car around.
 
this winter i was upnorth at my aunts house and i asked if we could go tubing behind the 4 wheeler. they said no and i asked why, my cousin said dont u remember what happened last time and i said no, they proceeded to tell me i had hit a dirtbike jump on the tube flown about 15 ft at 30 mph and landed on ice, got knocked out for a few seconds and showed me the helmet i snapped. it was creepy
 
not getting a more than a scratch and bruise from falling on a 8-10ft drop on my bike. really sore the next day though

anyhoo wen i was like 8 my friends and i were climbing on stacked hay bales in a barn(stupid, i kno now) and it was a 3 story barn and we got all the way to the roof on the hay, then all the hay collapsed. they all rolled down with the hay but my boots got stuck in the rafters. they rolled in the hay avalanche all the way down safely but i was hanging by my feet c. 30 feet above the ground. the miracle is that i got stuck at all, and that i stayed stuck for like 10 minutes while they got a ladder to pull me out.
 
a couple years back i was an idiot and was running to cross this road but didnt see other cars coming and then tried to stop and slipped on ice in the middle of this road and pulled myself out of the way of an on coming car within seconds. like i was seriously an inch away from the car.
 
One time skiing in whistler at the peak, it was like whiteout conditions and i was flying down a trail and there were no trees so it was kinda hard to see what was trail and what wasn't. I kept going and heard my friend yell my name so i stopped really quickly then i looked back to where i would have headed and there was this HUGE cliff about five feet in front of me.

Not sure how i missed the CLIFF! signs.
