What’s the biggest fall you’ve ever taken?

Oh this is a good one. There was a “pow” day in nh. I use quotation marks because most of the snow was supposed to be coming throughout the day. My ignorant ass wanted to do the coolest stuff first so second run I ducked under a rope under the lift line. There’s this 10-15 foot cliff and I thought I could send it and ski away as the hero for the people on the lift. However, since it was second run, there was only 1 inch of new snow on top of a thin sheet of ice. I immediately sunk thru the ice and couldn’t turn. So I ended up straight lining 30 yards before the cliff and got way out of control. I went way bigger than I thought I would have and was way out of control in the air. It turns out the landing was 2 metal snow making tubes barely covered with snow that I couldn’t see. My ass landed on the further one and my back landed on the other one. I legitimately thought I would never walk again in the moment. But hey all I came away with was a sightly dislocated spine!

Lol sounds like you scoped that hit well. Mine is also a story from a NH pow day dropping into something I shouldn’t have. Ducked a rope and tried to lay down the deepest pow turn ever. Left ski hit a hidden stump and propelled my knee up into my jaw extremely hard. For reference I was about 14 and wearing my bottom retainer because I hadn’t had my braces off for long. After the crash I felt my retainer had popped out and like 4 or 5 of my bottom teeth were loose. Ended up having to get 4 root canals which was hours and hours of absolute hell, and now my teeth are dead which is kinda weird. Retainer prob saved my teeth from coming out tho. Now I wear a mouth guard when throwing down in park

Moral of the story: East Coast pow day fever is a dangerous thing

Went to Ollie a rope fence going fast. Didn’t quite get the tips over, what ensued was an absolute slingshot backwards & a rope mark / burn on my stomach for 2 days. It was quite the fail

Biggest? Broom closet yesterday. 25ish feet by my landing zone. I hadn't eaten enough breakfast and I stomped it 3 weeks ago twice. It looked pretty good, and went big to avoid bombholes and ideally land on some windbuff. Completely too flat and not deep enough crashed head over heels and went cartwheeling. Spent 45 min dredging the landing looking for my ski. I was fine though. Hardest crash was honestly falling on my ass off a 5 foot high rail onto ice at the bone zone. I kept hitting the rail though /claim.

Last run of the day a Mont Ripley. Some kid asked me to do a flat 3. I undershot and slammed face first on the deck and got a concussion. Sucked.

Overshot a 50 ish foot jump to the bottom, the landing was real long and steep. Didn’t hurt just got murked.

Did one of those tube gap things where there’s a little tube perpendicular to a down tube which is about 20 feet down, and the little tube is set across a little lip almost. Tried to use that little jump as a gap-jump, had to absolutely cook it in to the feature for the speed, came in way too fast and I gapped everything and landed about two feet up from the end of the tube, got absolutely murked. Second try I came up short and kinda caught up on the beginning of the tube almost, luckily I was going so fast tho that by the time my head came down I had gone past the tube so I landed in the snow. Fall didn’t hurt really but I just got absolutely wrecked, and got the dome knocked a little.

Big as in bad?

for me I cuaght my edge on a roller, my ski fell off, and I landed on it causing me to go to the hospital for 2 days with a bruised spleen and laserated liver.

lame way to get hurt

i was at windells and trying to learn cork 360's and i kept overotating to underflip 5's, i landed one and went back seat and went whatever speed to zero and hit my head because summer slush. I looked up then everything went dark and my head started to hurt like a mofo.

trying to get 360's down and i started log rolling for like 20 feet, felt like someone was trying to pull my arms off.

down box to some ice rocks early season, got too much speed landed switch and donged my head really hard.

I did a switch 5 and my ski came off right away and i balled up and landed hard on my shoulder.

I did a casual stop last year to slow down and i think i caught an edge or something and instantly flipped over and knocked the wind out of me for what felt like a few minutes, fell so hard missed the last week of the season because of it.

Speed tested the big jump during the early ski season while there was snow being made, double ejected into a mound of pre made snow right next to it, chiro said it was like i was in a car crash. What really pissed me off about it was there was a dude filming and he didnt check the landing to see if it was safe so a few people landed on my fucking skis.

Oh one time on a shitfuck day at vail, i was riding the backbowls and decided to casually go off those cliffs right next to the chalet. Then i double ejected and penguin slid to the bottom of the bowl, didnt hurt was just funny.

I’ve torn my acl twice, broke my thumb on and over rotated backy, spkeened myself switch lipping a down rail. My biggest fall was first run in A51 and park crew turned the lip into the a frame wallride (at the bottom) into a goddanm quarter pipe, I boosted so high straight sideways in the air right to flat on my face.

Smart style, scope your features is real. They trolled me real good

I hit the biggest jump at my mountain and went too slow which made me about a foot short of the landing and I double ejected and slid face first down the landing. Put my skis back on and skied down the run while dripping blood and I found out later that I torn the tendons in my feet but I still skied three runs after the crash. As soon as I took my ski boots off I couldn’t walk.
