Whats the best/worst ski crash you were in this winter?

Rode out this really fun pillow line, and decided to go for some awesome super wide turns down the rest of the run. Coming to the bottom, there was this little lip, that looked flat due to the light and how fast I was coming up to it. I hit it and pretty much knocked myself out with my knees, and flew like 10+ feet to the back of my head. Apparently it looked worse then it felt, because everyone was surprised I was ok.

knuckled the last jump at the Carinthia Open, skis stuck where they hit, and launched me straight to my face. slid down the landing on my face.

spelled the end of the season for me, fairly bad concussion+a face fresh off of a cheese-grater.

cased right on the knuckle of a 60 footer, did something to my right knee. it hurts when i stand up after i have been sitting down for a while

no real bad crashes this year. Hit a few boxes/rails with various parts of my body and took some falls from small booters.

Worst was probably a concussion I got from some older douchbag, racer like guy running into me at full speed. I "woke up" like 50m further down the run and started to speak english (german is my first language). Also I have no memory of how I got down the rest of the run and into the chairlift. Next thing I remember is like half way up the hill, sitting in the chair. Feels kinda weird I guess :D

I over shot a 30ft jump at Hidden Valley( if any PA skier knows that place you'd know that's it's all ice all the time and the landings to their jumps are pretty much flat) and ended up landing on my back. It knocked the wind out of me and messed my should up for about a month. I layed there in pain. I also tried my first c rail box thing at Hidden Valley and made it further than I thought I would but my skis slipped out from underneath me at the end. I slammed my tail bone off the corner and couldn't sit right for the next 2 weeks. My friends told me I lost my virginity that day. No wrecks that were season ending injuies.

i threw my spin too hard and corked it, so i landed on my head and got a horrible concussion, amnesia, and i fucked up my thumb

rodeo landed on my shoulder an tore my rotator cuff.......and prior to that in november two days before i started skiing I was skating an tore two ligaments in my ankle and was out till January tough winter............

Got worked by the stairs on this rail

Didn't have much speed coming in, got on, slide 3/4 of the rail before slipping out onto my slide on the stairs at a good speed. Got stitches and had a swollen thigh for like two months.

I was skiing down this sketchy side run and at the bottom there was a cat track. I caught an edge towards the bottom (but didn't fall. i was going pretty fast doe) and i got turned around switch and flew off the cat track into a bunch of dense trees and both of my skis got stuck into the ground up to the front binding and i did not pop out. no bueno

Its a classic spot in my town, everyone knows that rail, even lots of people who don't ski/board.

Some skater slide it a few years ago, pretty gnarly.

Last day of skiing up at sunday river with two friends, it was the free skiing day if anyone remembers, me and my friend -RDG- decided to go for some new tricks on their first jump. It was probably about a 25 foot step down, and it wasnt anything special really. He goes for his first 900, and I couldnt tell exactly what happened but it looked like he landed it so I head into the jump with the same amount of speed. Turns out he overshot it hard. I decided coming in that I was going to try a nice carved out tweaked 7, and when I got to lip, carved as hard as I could and sent it. Got the first 540 around probably 5 feet after the lip of the jump, and then I just stopped spinning. I have no idea why, but I just stopped. And then I started falling. As I dropped, in the air, backwards, I could see the lip of the jump pass by me, followed by the knuckle, and I still wasn't done yet. I fell at least another 20 feet, and I knew this was going to suck. On impact, my skis flew out from under me and I smashed my chest and face into the ground (right on a bump of course).

I have literally never taken a jump this big, this was past the plateau, you couldn't land a straight air this deep. Luckily, all I got was the wind knocked out of me and I hurt my thumb a bit. Could have been so much worse.
