i'm pretty much a boss when it comes to making eggs benedict, but i make myself a full breakfast and then i'm just not hungry for it. no wonder i usually have smoothies.

I went in to work earlier for the first time in a few months(I've been at school). I went up to everyone and said hey, and caught up with them a bit. Said hey to my manager and stuff. Then he tells me to clock in right away. I was confused why I needed to clock in right that second because I was still about 10 minutes early for my shit. But I wasn't going to question him. I went to clock in, and put in my employee id like I normally would. An error message came up that said "Employee has been terminated." Not thinking much of it, I thought I was using the wrong employee ID. I mean it had been about 2 and a half months so maybe I just messed it up. I say "hey Mike I think I have the wrong ID, can you look it up for me?" He was like "No ming, you don't.. I'm really sorry.." The only thing going threw my head was shit like "what the fuck" and "shit did I really just get fired? Couldn't they have told me that 2 and a half months ago when I left?!" and "fuck I'm fucking broke what am I supposed to do?!" I started freaking out to say the least.
My manager took me to the office and the whole time he had the most serious look on his face. I thought for sure I was fucked. Then he turns to me and says "So, we've decided to let you go." and I asked why, obviously. His response was "Well you've worked for us for a while now. Corporate regulations are tight and we just are not happy with the way things have been working out." he pauses and meanwhile i'm starting to have a panic attack. He continues with "As you know we can only give out so much money in raises during employment. You have maximized your raise potential. We disagree with this and believe you should be given more opportunity" I'm very confused at this point. "We want to give you a better opportunity and termination is the only way to make sure you get what you deserve." Totally lost and still panicking. He goes on with "So we have decided that today will be your last day here at panera... but also your first. See, if we rehire you, we can start you at a higher hourly pay, and then proceed to give you your other raises." He them smiles and starts laughing hysterically. I'm still confused because I couldn't process what he was saying. And I just looked at him all nervous and say "wait...what?!" He goes "To put it simply, we are firing you, so that we can rehire you so that you can make 2 dollars more an hour. Corporate does not allow us to give raises past a certain point but we believe you should be making more. So this is how were going to get around corporate."
So, I thought I was getting fired today, but really I'm now going to be making 2 dollars more an hour. So fucking stoked. Looking back, the way he decided to break the news to me was hilarious even though I was on the verge of a breakdown. Totally worth it and I'm so glad to be back there working!

Not being in school is actually like weird for me. I come home from work and go to reach for a pen and some paper to do work. But there's no work to do. I feel like I'm supposed to be doing something all the time. In reality all I need to worry about is work. I need to learn how to not be stressed out/ how to relax haha

First time skiing with a dog today! It was amazing. I was riding off the energy of the pup when I was sucking air up the bootpack and then his combined energy with ours on the way down was so perfect.

Yesterday chubz and I were riding at pknpk and there were some kids(about 14/15 years old)there hiking the flat box. You could tell they were a bit new so we talked to them and tried to help them out! I was on insta today and searched that parks tag and those kids posted some insta edits and they were killin it. One guy hit the box switch. Another did a back surface swap. Then a 180 on. Super cool to see them shredin!

Here's my puppy shot of the day! Cora is so on point with her visual signals these days. She knows which way to turn, where to sit, when to sit, and wait just by me pointing my finger one way or another. My dogs got brains and beauty. Total package. Complete babe.

I am so over being sick. Like it's been almost a month. I can barely ski without sounding like an 80 year old smoker, can't go out. I can pretty much go to work (barely, had to call off a few serving shift due to excessive nose blowing) and sleep.
I JUST WANT TO BE BETTER. and like ski everyday and work a bunch and go out with my friends.
I was even on antibiotics for a week, drinking my weight in herbal tea, eating soup by the gallon and going through obscene amounts of mucinex. effff

Like we all have that dream of moving to the mountains and living the life. And I fucking did it. But times like these, I miss my family, my friends, just home so fucking much.
Today's especially a bummer, my whole family (like 30+ people) get together and do a huge homemade german dinner at my moms house, and just enjoy each other and this year literally everyone will be there, except me. I'm working 9 hours today and will get off work to go home and everyone I know here is either home with their families or working. It's just going to be sad. Jesus, I just teared up writing that.
Tomorrow will hopefully be better, I'm waking up early, making mulled wine, putting that in a thermos and skiing ALL DAY.
Just got to get through today...
Today's especially a bummer, my whole family (like 30+ people) get together and do a huge homemade german dinner at my moms house, and just enjoy each other and this year literally everyone will be there, except me. I'm working 9 hours today and will get off work to go home and everyone I know here is either home with their families or working. It's just going to be sad. Jesus, I just teared up writing that.

My family went out of town earlier without telling me while I was at work. I came home and all the doors are locked and I have no key. I was more or less just looking forward to seeing my grandma who I just found out has stage 4 lung cancer the other day. I wanted to see her considering its most likely her last Christmas but now there's no way I can. I don't have anywhere to go for the next couple days either. Fuck.

I'm going stir shit crazy at my bfs parents all week. Can't fucking ski. Try to go to bed to sleep, can't sleep but I fall asleep at the dinning room table. I wanna leave and go home and get laid and fuck being here right now.
So frustrated.
There are 3 main hills in my area, holiday valley, kissing bridge, and peek n peak. I personally love kissing bridge. It's my home mountain, it's closest(20 minutes), it has the 2nd most vert with pretty decent terrain for the area, and it has the most laid back, home mountain vibe as opposed to a touristy resort vibe. Like I love it there and they just opened today and I want to ride there most of the time from now on.
People are having a huge fuckin problem with that. Like why does it matter where I want to ski? I'm not dragging you with me; you can go do what you want to do. "but peek n peak is so much better." Yeah, they have a better park. But its also almost 2 hours away and I'd have to pay for lift tickets. It's not worth it to me to spend so much time and money going there when I have a sick place to ride a few minutes away.
