Hi I'm looking for a good all around ski something that will work well in the park(sometihng I wanna getinto cause I'm bored with groomers) as well as on the corduroy. Being in Atlantic Canada I don't get to ride much powder unless I go away which is only 1 or 2 times a year.

I've been skiing for 21 years and would consdier myself a fairly aggresive skier but certainly no pro.

I am 5'9 almost 5'10 and 225 and am looking to spend not much more than 800.00 for ski's and bindings.

given my weight I can't have a soft ski

what are some options for me? and what length

BTW I ride a older kastle 193 right now and

With your size and ability, you should definitely check out the Volkl Karmas. They are always commended for their all-mountain capabilities. I know a lot of people who will say that the Karma is their favorites ski of all time.

dude i am in baisically the exact same situation as you, including the atlantic canada part except im not as big, im planning on going with karmas this year to have a ski to preform everywhere. you can email aerobics first (if you are in nova scotia), they are a volkl dealer and wil be able to tell you what the karmas will retail for, the msrp is about 700 american on them though but i doubt they will end up really costing that much

karmas are I think like $599 retail, see if you can find 'em on google. Chronics and PEs would also both be sweet, and PEs are super good deal you could get those with good bindings for $600 or so USD I'm guessing you mean CAD for your prices so karmas would be too much. Chronics are similar to PEs pricewise. Madtrix would be except for the sad fact that they dont make them anymore, mojo 80s would be good though but they're a little softer than the madtrix.

the karmas are going for $600 on untracked.com of course that gives you 200$ to spend on bindings with your budget so if you really want a top of the line all mountain ski that preforms in the park the karma is your best bet. the 2005-2006 karma is somewhere like $490 ish on untracked.com, hope htat helps

^I'm pretty sure that's $600 USD for the karma though and the budget is $800 CAD and I dont know the exact rate these days but I'm pretty sure thats a bit much for a ski without bindings. At my shop they have a PE/bindings package for $535 USD with some crappy solomon bindings, but you can upgrade to some decent bindings for under $600 for sure and I'm pretty confident you'd enjoy PEs as much as karmas.
