im getting some surface skis but i need some help on which one to buy, i like all mountain and do a little bit of everything, what do u people thim\nk would be good? and does anyone have any info on the 08/09 models from surface?

you can certainly get away with using watch lifes, but where you ski, do you get a lot of snow? what are the conditions usually like? i know there are some people here on the east coast who have no problems with the regular live lifes. the live lifes 2 are more orientated for powder/backcountry. im not sure how they are on piste, but they aren't that stiff so i doubt they'd be all that great.

some of their 08/09 stuff can be viewed here,

we dont get too much snow, but this spring and frebruary was pretty amazing, ok ya i dont do backcountry, i weight 180 and im 5'11", i love pow, a little park, im try to learn rails this year, so watch lifes, or the first live watchs?

in reality many pow days do you have?

watch lifes are 90mm so i think you could manage. i don't have any experience with skis more than 100mm on rails so i couldn't say.

my watch lifes are mounted -1 and they slay everywhere.

about 10-15 maybe more maybe less, but overall the watch lifes are pretty much an everywhere ski, i can do rails and stuff with em?

oh yea i thought i'd point out, my skis are -1 because i see little to no pow days so its mainly piste.

in your case you might want to think about mounting -1.5 or -2 back.

live lifes are fucking dope park skis as well as pow and all mt skis, basically a beefy ass lizzie. Both have prety similar flex undefoot but the 2 has less core in the tip and tail making it softer and easier to butter. all around these skis are baller as fuck. Another one to consider if you do more park riding is the thrash life which will be 108 underfoot and somewhere around 176. seriously though surface skis kick ass. peace

hey thx bro, u helped me out alot, i found a deal at AG for the watch lifes w/ bindings for 200-250, they are pretty good with that, and i live in idaho so im not far away from them

the thrash life is going to be a sick ski, really good for everything. if your more into big mountain hucking the live life 1, more into all mountain jibbing and park live life 2 or thrash life. I would probably say live life 2 for doing it all. peace

The Live Life 2's are pretty stiff. Like a Gotama. The regular Live Life's are way stiffer than that.

The Live Life 2's are my park skis. Rails, jumps, whatever. Never used them outside the park. They are the skinniest skis I own at 112 underfoot.

well you own the ski so you'd know, but im just going off the website that the live life 2's are 50% softer than the live lifes. so if you say they are like a gotama then the live lives must be one stiff ass ski.

i have live life 2's and so far ive mostly used them for park and some pow, they definatly are stiff, ive owned gottamas and the flex is pretty similar., i was pretty dissapointed cause i thought they were gonna be noodles which is what i wanted. but i dont think ive ever had a better ski for jumps, i just feel so stable taking off, while im in the air, and landing, they are awesome skis, if they made the same thing but like anthem softness, it would be my favorite ski ever.
