Theres 4 skiers i know who can go inverted at Alpine, about 5 that can grab a 5 (my category) and the best things i have ever seen on rails are 270 on pretzel 2 out wiv a switchup in the middle. SE michigan has a few good riders, but most people blow, average is probly a solid caseing or roll over.
wachusett has a few good kids throwing like backs off everything, 2s 4s out and ive seen a few 9s and 10s. but most kids like me just do little stuff like grab 3s 5s and 2s out and such
Well Sugarbush has a wide range. One kid threw a dub, some kids are throwing rodeo and cork 7/9's, and then there are the up to 5 normal spinners. On rails, we got some good competition, kfeds and 2 pretz 2's. Not too crazy, but thats still pretty good.
The people claiming dubs are totally bs'in. I am sure at most mountains the most common trick to see is a 3. Probably penciled and what not but 3's and basic backflips are most common probably. If you can grab or do flips or do anything bigger than a 7 you're in the top crowd at timberline.
If by granite peak you mean the skiers that are a part of the "midwest's best"? All of them came to tyrol for a day this year and i didn't see anything special from them, maybe they just weren't throwing down at all. Whatever it was, I wasn't impressed
no i'm not talking about Midwest Best, although, one of th skiers is really good, Matt P'ng, he's doing switch blunt 10's, dub fronts, and blunt 9's. only 3 of the kids are on Midwest Best, all others are just riding independantly.
at breck its all over the place, you get the texans sticking their tips in the tables and then you'll take a run with bobby brown. but pretty much everyone does at least 3's
few kids at chestnuts can go inverted. Rails are preety snowboarder oriented so most skiers are sketched out to learn on them. 95% of the time though, if a skier slides a whole rail. All gaper hell breaks loose
