i'm starting to look for a good day pack for skiing next year, something that I can hike off with for the day and carry enough crap but also just ride around the local slopes without it being huge and clumsy. Any ideas would be great thanks

a good pack for hiking w/ your boards is the Fatty pack by Drop. I have 1 and I love it. It's nice and slim for wearing skiing but it still holds enough stuff for a night or two. I did Tuckermans Ravine on mnt. Washington w/ mine. I love it! -snogurl

the heli pro pack from da kine. it is so awesome, it isnt bulky at all, and can hold alot of stuff. i sure love mine, used it alot to

Dakine Heli Pro, is a totally badass pack, would really recommend it. I now use an ice-climbing pack that is about 3 or 4 times the size, it compresses down real small like the Heli Pro but can hold a shit load more stuff, it's quite cool but can get heavy if you got axes and crampons on it too, get the helipro though, cheap and damn good.
