What’s a gap that needs filling in the ski industry?

RAIL JAMS - actually seeing more of these than years past, but even more would be sick.

symmetrical skis, there’s Vishnu but their shapes aren’t exactly my style of ski

Personal full length edits - I love group style edits but where are the edits of just one rider going off. Not filmed on an iPhone and not posted on insta instead of just advertising on insta

resort love for local riders. It’s all about the tourists now, where’s the love for the people coming to the same resort all the time. I’m sure more people would be willing to give money to a resort if they did shit oriented to the locals

East coast snow - more indoor ski facilities could compliment this lol

bs b2s, hand drags, zero spins, switch tails, tweaked safety’s, etc

Christian Franchino

And most importantly, get me Big Boulder back :(

Skateline NBD but for skiers... with Reed Lewis as the host

The real answer to the thread is we need more BMOS. All time character, all time swag, and just someone that skiing industry should have done more for. Such a shame he's working full time as an engineer or something rn, he should be in the booth with wallisch at x games with an x games medal to match. Real 1s know the real buck wild big air beast tho

A mini jumpline on the side to divert the sidehitters from the rail lips

The little shits will still side jump. They will do the 3 or so baby jumps and then proceed to send the rail lips.

Back to op's q, PEOPLE WHO CAN READ. I had to tell 5 PEOPLE TODAY TO NOT SIT IN THE LANDINGS OF JUMPS. HOW FUCKING STUPID DO YOU HAVE TO BE?!!!!! One of my buddies almost creamed a snowboarder who was sideslipping right down the middle of the landing. BROTHER. This shit pisses me off so much.

We need more events. Not just events in skiing hotspots like SLC or invite only events. Local events, especially at lesser known places. Feels like I’m often seeing recaps of fun events on instagram and YouTube but we still haven’t had a rail jam for skiers at my local hill

sponsors that actually pay a livable wage without selling your entire soul to dogshit products (dope snow).

As long as athletes continue to fulfill the need for that price, sponsors have no incentive to pay more.

Side note: do pro skiers have agents? That might be a start to have someone actually negotiate and develop that income stream for you.

Already exists called the Look Pivot.

And even if they didn’t, “park” bindings would function the exact same as normal bindings (release at certain value).

No, park bindings, not the same shit looks been peddling for 50 years. These will help you pop higher, press harder, lock on tighter, swap faster, stomp cleaner. You'll never crash! And instead of a dildo on the back it'll have a

anti climate change lobbying in government, the industry is dead if there’s no snow so seems like vail and altera should be throwing some money into congress to get some green bills passed

Climate change not real ?

I would love to see more events like forre megasessarit where you gather people to a chill street spot and sesh it with music and cool prizes.

Sounds nonchalant

I want a mountain with an expensive AF season pass, but everything else really cheap to make up for it.

Give me good terrain, decent lift access, small crowds, and charge me whatever it costs. I'm sick of the pass being the gateway drug then the real product being parking charges, fast passes, and $50 lunch

Creating and currating a culture that tells a story so that skiing has more of a personality. With personalities that support and foster the next generations

More jumps bro all gen z wants to do is hit tube, these kids are afraid to get broken off

This, I haven't hit a good jump line in so long. Park City is the best chance I've had but it's only 2 jumps.

In highschool my home mountain used to have an 8 jumpline (Granite Peak, WI), it was great

Not saying this is everyone, but my local in pa growing up only had one or two jumps for only about half the season every year. it gets hard to progress when its all you can do to maintain your current level with such a lack of opportunity. tubes on the other hand are a staple thats always available

I watched a kid throw a flat 5 with a tweaked out japan grab at ruby hill when it was a sheet of ice. It wasn't even off a jump it was off the lip of a rail, parks definitely don't build jumps like they used to but I've watched enough of [tag=254957]@Thegenericskier[/tag] to know that a shitty 20 foot booter is all u need to get disgustingly good at jumps

-Snow park building companies

-Rail design and fabrication

-buy-sell-trade brokage (joke)

-contest promoters

more culture less commercial

Ski areas that offer actual benefits to their employees. Its crazy to think of all the patrollers, instructors, snowmakers and park crews out there with zero health insurance, one crash away from making another tragic gofundme page

They should. Some have hit their heads a few too many times to make rational decisions.
