What you expect from a season Vs. What you Get

Does your season turn out how you imagine it to happen, or not?

My seasons are always different than what I expect and I never really know how much I'll progress or where I'll ski.

This season I was pretty stoked on my progression not only in the park but also in the moguls. Didn't really have that many goals this season just wanted to have fun and I don't think I didn't have one bad day skiing.

Last year I was expecting to be able to do doubles opening weekend. But I didn't really progress at all until mid season. Still never landed a double.

13/14 expected to be able to afford to ski all around the country. Was broke af when season started, and that didn't change.

12/13 wanted to do a dub cork. Spent 3 months growing my balls, went for it and spent the last month out of the slopes. Needless to say it didn't go as expected.

I can't help it, I have big expections for this season. I hope I'll see this thread and have a laugh when season is over and my ACLs are in pieces or something haha

I start every season gunning for quads and I end up almost landing a straight air. Shoot for the stars aim for the moon or whatever

Personally i usually set two goals, realistic ones, and ones that might happen if i have a banger season and dont get injured haha

I listen to music I want in my videos/edits, picture some really good videography along with it. Then it hits me- I only have a GoPro 2 and iPhone...

Looking at getting a Nikon D5300 soon though so hopefully I can actually make some nice videos for myself to reminisce on skiing next summer/fall.

i always remember every drop/jump being half the real size and think of throwing the sickest shit over those jumps, when in reality i shit my pants when i see them. And i think there will be 2feet of pow every weekend. But in the end its i still always manage to have fun

My first season out in Colorado , so I'm hoping to progress quite a bit. Unfortunately, it usually goes like this.

Expectation:

Well the plan last year was to ski 4 days a week ended up skiing like 6-7 days a week except that week I got a concussion and had to take 3 days off. So over all last season was pretty great.

I keep my expectations super low, so I'm generally happy. Then again, I have a job that my health depends on so if I got really hurt I'd be in a world of shit, and I like money more than I like the idea of landing a cork 900 or doing some nasty shit on gnarly rails.

My expectations: don't get hurt that badly

I enjoy every day even though I'm not the greatest. I think that makes me a gaper.

do you know what a double negative is?

Fist year out west in utah last season.

Expected: Sick ass pow

What I got: Sick ass pow and actually got my first face shot even though it wasn't a good year for utah it was still insane and way better than any pow day out east. The snow wasn't wet and you can actually let the tips dive a little bit without face planting like east coast snow does.

This up coming season is going to be at big sky

Expect: Going to send it way too hard and die looking at all this gnarly ass terrain

What is going to happen: Going to send it too hard.

Expectation: *going for single*

what actually happens: *gets in trouble and tucks for a double*
