If you got a call at 2 am from a number that looked exactly like yours besides the last two numbers being different. And in this call it is an automated voice telling you that they got your email about finding there cat. They knew your name and now keep calling you at random hours of the night and morning because you stupidly called the number back to see if it was real.

Yea, its almost the exact same number as mine besides the last two digits...so at first i was like oh its just some random person looking up phone numbers on a website trolling...but then they knew my name...
 
House phone or cell phone? If it was your house phone they could have just looked it up pretty easily in the phone book but if it's your cell phone they had to do a little bit of digging to find out your name and shit. That's creepy as hell haha
 
My cell phone, and yea definitely. Majorly creepy and now they keep calling me so...fuck. I have no idea who it could be, cuz i don't really know anyone that would prank call me. And this situation is just sketch i seriously doubt its anyone i know. Especially because I dont live in the area that my area code is from, I live about 10 hours away.
 
do you have your number on facebook? they could have got it that way. my phone syncs to facebook so i get the number of anyone who im fb friends with that has their number linked to their profile.
 
send them a voicemail.

find the weirdest automated voice on your computer, make it say something like "your cat is waiting in my basement, send 100$ to this address in an envelope marked SNOZBERRY and then we will see what i can do. if the money is not there by wednesday, things will start to happen"

record this on your phone, boom
 
Woa, super creepy. Blocking the number is the easy answer here, I wouldn't, I'd be too curious to know who the fuck that is and how they got my name. You need to investigate. What happens when you try to call back, answering machine ? What does it say? You need to keep a log of each time they call. Is it the same message every time ?
 
if you pay like 2 dollars on the internet you can find out who the phone is registered to, reverse creep them

With my cis skills I would say most likely its someone you know that is just messing with you. Probably got your number off of Facebook and is using an automated app or website like prankowl or prankdial to mess with you.

wait what the fuck I got a call from someone with the same number as me minus the last two digits the other day too. I texted them like why did they call and they said they had no history of calling my phone
 
oh i didnt talk to the person who had the number. which is probably good because theyre from flint and i sound like a 12 year old when im on the phone...im just gonna ignore it
