i didnt really know what to search cuz the thread could be title'd so many different ways. so if its a repost, mods delete it or let it die.

ANYWAYS. as the holidays come to a close, and people go back to work and back to school, what were your guy's highlights of vacation?

For me, i made it back home to minnesota. seeing the family was great. but getting out of CA and back to minnesota-ee things was even better. here's a few pics.

went on a 35 mile snowmobile ride yesterday.

so post up your pictures or videos are stories of fun things you did over the holidays!

nice! last year i kind of just got burnt out of skiing.. im taking this year off, i left all my gear in CA and just wanted to get out and do some other things while i had the chance.

Definitely spending New Years Eve in South Beach. Miami is one of the craziest places I've ever been.

- Skiing

- Poutine

- Outdoor rink hockey

- Friends + Family

- Eggnog

Not really looking forward to hitting the books tomorrow..

Yeah I have to agree doing other things sometimes is nice but I always progress so much more during christmas break so I try and ski as much as I can then before it's back to school. Sounds like you had a good holiday though!

OH I FORGOT ABOUT MY NEW YEARS STORY!!

soo, i basically partied it up in caves/tunnels underneath st. paul in minnesota. i was with a group of 20 people, and the girl i was with knew about the caves, so she took us there..

it involved going down a manhole, walking through street run off drains which were frozen over, and climbing through a busted out hole in the side of the wall.

the tunnels were awesome, with huuge vaulted ceilings. and there was a main wing section where everyone hung out, (there was like 30 other people partying it up down there too), and it was lit by hundreds of tea candles. it was so awesome.

we all carried a bunch of booze in our back packs and made a shit ton of friends and such and just had a great time! also lit off fireworks in the cave too.. dumb idea.. but oh well.

it was awesome.i dont have any pics unfortunately.

My friend has gone down there quite a few times! I've always wanted to, all his pictures of it are so sick!

well, my grandpa had a heart attack on christmas eve, and died on the 30th. So my holiday was pretty sad.but as a result my entire family congregated in my granparents house up north. my cousins flew in from Vancouver and my other cousins came from Toronto and we were all up in this house together.

so although it was a very sad time, it was in a way a really nice time because we rarely get to be together like that.

i dont know if this is wrong, but it was definitely my highlight. its a confusing feeling.

/whatever

oh man, thats no fun man. hope you and your family are all doing alright.

but thats awesome you're able to look on the bright side. being able to have all the family together in one place is always an awesome time. and a definite morale booster

Skiing, and today I got a job as an instructor at my ski hill so I'm pretty stoked about that. Also spending lots of time with my girlfriend

damn thats sick.. i dont recognize the first and last picture.. he must have entered/exited a different route. i know theres a couple. that stairwell looks amazing..

but the pictures in between are familiar.. suuuuper sick place. the wall of tea lights is exactly what i was talking about.. there was an offshoot that was just lined with tea lights on both sides, and at the end, it looked like a shrine, with different levels of plateaus to chill on.

Ya i'm sure there are many different ways to get in and out and endless possibilities once oyu get down there.

And to the other guy no haha. Just really adventurous I guess

Had two of the best pow days of my life, then got my tonsils out. Shit blows. Can't wait to be able to ski regularly again. Finals and the tonsillectomy means I've only skied two days in 5 weeks. I usually "ride "(skiing or biking), 4-5 days a week. I've done 2 days of skiing in 5 weeks, no bueno. Throws off everything when your routine gets jacked. Sunday, life returns to normal, fully healed and going back to school in Boulder. Stoked. Have a great schedule next semester.

Also, seeing my family was nice too. When you go away for school you forget how fun Cards Against Humanity with your mom can be.

oh man, that sucks about your tonsils and what not. but hey, at least you'll be back at it for that last half of the season. sick man.
