What wax brush should I buy?

Well if you want to buy one, I’d say get a combined nylon and metal one (copper, steel, etc.). The metal component is good for scraping off old wax and oxidation, and nylon is good for smoothing out everything. If you really want to be fancy, you can get a horse hair brush for final polishing.

I, personally, just bought a copper/nylon brush by toko. It was pretty cheap. I wanted a brush on a budget, too.

Just get these. Only issue is that the nylon is really stiff. Normally you want a softer nylon for polishing. Instead, I used the nylon in this set to clean my base before waxing. Largely an unneeded step, since my bases were never that dirty. But the brass was a great first brush and kept the horsehair from getting too gummed up. Back when I had less money, I got the same set and it got me through until I got a better set.

I got this set in a bundle and can’t complain but if you are willing to spend slightly more money then this is the way to go. Purists don’t believe in roto brushing but after the first time using them your mind will be blown. Best tuning investment I have made.
