What trick is this..? Cork 540 to..

Hey guys.. been screwin around at the pool the whole fall. Finally managed to get corks down off a diving tower/springboard, and then a trampoline.

I ran into something interesting though.. on a springboard 3 m diving board, I tried doing a cork, set it.. sort of overthrew it a bit too hard (intending a cork 540). spin started, off axis.. but i didnt yaw back from off axis.. I sorta locked up, naturally progressed into a backflip and came around 180.. landing forwards.

What is this? Cork 540 to latebackflip 180? or mabye lincon loop bridged to a backflip halfway in.. weird

i have seen d-spins with the invert come late in the rotation, thats what it kind of sounds like to me. if you actually did the rotation of a backflip, it wouldnt be any trick, it would be a cork to backflip...

Dunno.

Its funny because im such a non parkrat, up till this summer when I started trying shit at whistler.. didnt get that far..

but when i came back stoked, started trying stuff on trampolines.. getting used to feeling inverted and stuff.. sort of addictive. Although I dont know how easy its going to be to move stuff to on skiis.. hmm. Any comments from people whove tried stuff at the pool and moved it to skiis?

 
It does sound like a D-Spin but a vid would help. A true D-spin is really a 540 on the vertical axis, a half-loop, 1/4 to 1/2 a backflip. The half loop makes it possible to only spin 5 around your shoulders and still land foreward.

Ahh, being the ill educated foo i am, I thought a dspin was a backflip with a spin stuck in the middle..

Basically what happens is.. I hit off the board set in a cork, start to yaw into a lincon while spinning.. somewhere between 360 and 540 i end up backflipping down and doing a 180 midbackflip down or just afterwards.. end up having done a total of 720 degrees.

if you threw it backwards then sounds like a dspin. if you threw it more forwards then probably a misty.

Just do what works for you, and you may end up creating your own way of doing tricks, your own style.

About taking tricks to skis from tramp/diving board/ground. Once you're in the air it's all relative. It's just starting the trick that's different. On skis you are going forward, your ankles are locked, and feet are weighted with skis/boots.

Take to mind that there are differences and it's not quite the same. But tramp helps alot and gives you air sense.

tyler do u know anything about the trickionary or who is writing it, cause honestly I wish I could name half the shit I see in Focus other than saying 720 with grab and weird invert. I feel like such a nwebie amnd I've been doing grabs for 7 years if u include the boarding I used to do in the park. I never knew the name of anything. I just did what felt good

it's actually really easy to learn if you're listening to the right person, you only need to know about 7-8 different spins frwards and switch and you basically know everyhting.
