What trampoline is a better choice?

so I've been looking at different trampolines and I'm looking for a good trampoline for practicing tricks that I would throw on the snow in the future. If I'm going to be practicing these tricks I obviously want a nice trampoline that I can get a lot of air on. But I'm debating on spending 250$ on a "ok" circle trampoline or spending 700$ on a good square trampoline.

this is the 250$ 14ft trampoline that comes with the safety net

This is the 700$ 15 foot skywalker trampoline that comes with a safety net

So basically the question I'm asking is the extra 450$ worth the extra 2 feet of air? I don't know very much about trampolines but what makes the square 15 foot trampoline worth so much more? I want a square trampoline because I've herd that u get more air on them, but like I said is a extra 2 maybe 2 and a half feet really worth 450$ more? What one should I buy?

extra air is always better. I have a standard circle tramp and I can usually squeeze a cork 10. It's perfect for basic flips but you'll want something bigger for doubles or more complex grabs.

If you can find a square one for cheaper that would be good but, it also could be a waist of $250 if the trampoline is shit

I think I might just go with the circle trampoline considering I've only been on a trampoline a couple times and I don't think I'm going to pay 700$ for a trampoline.. do u know what kind of trampoline u have and how much you got it for?

pure fun 15' for $500, I wish I had done more research. I'm not the biggest fan of it.

weird question but if you had to buy a new trampoline that's around 500$ what would you go for?

looks bouncy as hell. Only problem is that I don't have 700$ right now. But if this lives up to being good then I might save up for it. I currently have about 500$

damn. good luck homie!

If you just want to learn your basic flips, then a circle is fine. If you want to be doing big spins and dubs, get the square.

Each of my friends has a different trampoline so I've been exposed quite a bit. The circle one is really bouncy and great for all tricks besides dubs. The square one isn't as bouncy I feel like- maybe just cause it's a really old trampolone. My third friend has the best tramp known to man in my opinion. It's this super bouncy springless trampoline, really big and square, it has like plastic rods instead of springs. You can definitely dub on that one. Not sure how expensive it is. But if you're set on the spring circle or square Id go with the circle.

Do u mind finding out how much and what the springless trampoline is?

I have a circle tramp, flips and spins are easy untill you get to 9. You dont have to buy a square one if you have a buddy to double bounce. Thats what i do and it makes 10s easy

The best stays an old circle trampoline.... I bought a used one for 100$ and easily throw doubles and 1260....

Springless ones are crazy bouncy, and with a double bounce, dubs are no problem. I find they're pretty forgiving as well so definitely look into one of those if you can. I've got a circle one from a place called Play Factory after my old, real bouncy one broke. Pretty sure it was around $700 but I enjoy it.

The spring free ones are expensive as fuck. I was just looking them up. Like 1500, which you probably wouldn't want to spend.

But seriously they are the shit

Ya I was just looking at them too, I always thought the springless are less bouncy caz they just focused on making them safe, but I guess I'm wrong. thanks for the info

check out this website, they have all the springless tramps on it

Pros of springless: bouncy, and huge

Cons of springless: its about 2 grand

I would love to have a springless trampoline but the most in going to spend on a trampoline is around 500$

I got a normal circle trampoline when I was 4. It's super bouncy and I can throw dubs on it. The only problem is I've lost 7 springs now

Id look on your local classifieds for a used tramp. I got a vikan 11x17 for $800 and it was normal $2500. With a double bounce I've seen videos of people trying quads.

I got a rectangular tramp for $400 and it bounced fairly well. After looking online to see how to make it bouncier, I bought mini flybed springs from max air. Now the tramp feels like a flybed and i easily get 5 ft of air without a double bounce. here is the link to the springs, definitely worth ithttp://www.supertrampcustomtrampolines.com/springs.php

that's so sick, how much did all the springs cost all together?

About $400. Im sure you could do it to any trampoline, as long as the springs are like 7 inches. I think you can also buy a rectangular string bed to replace the bed the tramp came with

dope, even a circle trampoline?

DO NOT BUY THE SQUARE ONE. Bought that thing a year ago expecting it to be super bouncy; it was very far from it. It was difficult to even get a few feet of air.

Ok thanks man, almost waisted so much money...

If your only willing to spend 250 your going to end up with a sh*t tramp. to get anything good you will have to spend over a thousand dollars (don't expect to be going 20 feet in the air on a 700 dollar tramp.) That said I learnt to dub back on a 100 dollar walmart tramp. For just learning a couple of tricks the 250 dollar tramp will be fine.

I'm thinking about doing this. Do u know what the trampoline is that you did this to? Is any rectangle trampoline good for this?

Neither of them will bounce well. Spend the money on a gymnastics membership so you can use the olympic trampolines. Trust me those black ones are shit even if you spend 500+.

my friend has that square one and it sucks alone but with water and dub bounce you go 2 feet above the net

I have a friend who had a sort of bouncy trampoline, but after it got a hole in it he got a new black fabric thing and now you can easily get 4-5 feet w/o double bounce.

Springless trampolines have weird non-linear compressions as you go near the edges (Moreso than the avg spring tramp) too that make bouncing near the edges a lot less forgiving. 5/10 do not recommend.

And if you get a shitty trampoline that you need to be double bounced on constantly you will destroy your back.

I've looked at these trampolines and I've noticed that you get some good air (not as much as a Olympic trampoline and more then a regular garden trampoline) but they are sooo much money. I don't think it's worth the 3000$

I'm thinking about buying a regular 400$ trampoline and replacing the springs with the Maxair trampoline springs. Anyone let me know if this is a bad idea. The Maxair trampoline's are inground Olympic trampolines that you can get about 20 feet of air. Obviously I'm not expecting to get that much air from replacing the springs. But hopefully more then on the regular springs.

i have an 18 foot circle tramp and i crossed the springs and in the summer if you wet it down with a hose and you can get hella air

Crossing the springs makes a huge difference, instead of the springs being like this

Ok thanks I'll try that

I have that 15 footer you are talking about and it is so sick. I can do any trick without worrying about hitting the net because its so big

looks like I'm going with the circle one for now thanks for all the advise.

Dude honestly go with the square. i have the same tramp but mines a rectangle and its super bouncy, the only bad thing about mine is that its too narrow and i drift a little when doing dubs. you should be golden with the square.

Squares are my preference simply for the added room but circle shapes work fine - I had one my whole life until I went to college. Granted it was a pretty big diameter one. Also Springfree tramps suck, they have terrible bounce compared to regular springs. I have never noticed a difference between the bounce circle tramps give you vs. square/rectangle ones when both have the same springs/elastic straps. Considering both have a net, I would say save yourself a ton of money and get the circle one. Realistically, if you're landing/jumping on the corners at all it's cause you messed up and got tossed off balance or something.

I would look at http://acon24.com/trampolines/. The tramps are expensive, but they are super bouncy, the best garden tramp I know. Here are some edits to prove it :p

And a landed triple without dub bounce or crossed springs:
=1m3s

Thanks a lot, I might get one of these. I just have to save up.
