What to mount afterbangs with?

i would go salomon sth 14's bc when i was at the dew tour it seemed that most pros were riding those or sth 16's

sth 14's or 16's. I just put 16's on mine this year and I am not using anything else in the world. Jesters are good but after awhile your forward pressure starts to let up and no matter how hard I would tighten it I would still have the lovely toe clicking...

am i just a lot poorer than everyone else on this forum? I am in school meaning other than the few hours I have of work-study every week I have no income at all, but some of the stuff people suggest to buy here is expensive as hell. I realize this is an expensive sport, but not everyone needs $400 bindings and $700 boots. For those of you who can afford to buy gear this expensive on a seasonal basis, lucky you.

I realize he did not give experience level or price range, but the fact that most of the people on this forum are probably in the 17-23 age range, a good amount probably cannot afford top line gear.

To the OP though, I have always used Marker bindings and have never had a reason to pick any other brand. So I would suggest something in one of their lines

What he was getting at is if you buy $400 dollar bindings they will last longer than 2 pairs of $200 bindings. Buying them on a seasonal basis is just stupid, and I'm sure there are slim to none people who do that. It's like buying a car. You can buy a cheap car and keep fixing it or end up buying a new one, or you could buy a nicer one and have it for longer with little problems. In the long term the costs will probably equal out and you get a better binding.

I'm also in school, the way I can afford everything is I work all summer to save up to buy nice stuff for the winter. The reason I buy expensive bindings and boots is because they last, yeah I spent $300 on bindings, but I probably wont have to buy another binding for next 5-10 years if not more because they're so durable. I've had markers...my m11 Frees lasted less than 3 weeks, my griffons lasted me but I sold them, I've had other bindings, but they've all broken, which is why I suggested the 2 bindings I've had that lasted. Yes, they're expensive, but if they last, you can take them off your broken skis and put them on your next pair, so that way your not buying new skis AND bindings every year.
Also, boots are the single most important item you buy, they'll either make your day or break your day, and again, they'll last you longer than your skis. That's why I always say, don't cheap out on boots or bindings, if you invest in a good pair now, you wont have to buy new ones for at least a few years. Skis on the other hand, park skis are gonna be trashed by the end of season, so don't bother spending bank on them, Powder skis or All-mountain skis will last longer so you can put some more money into them.
