What to do while waiting in line for a concert?

Im going to see Flosstradamus this friday in D.C. and im going to attempted to get a front row spot with some of my buddies. Its sold out so this means that we are going to have to wait in line for a pretty damn long time. and its going to be freezing.

So I was just wondering, how can we stay occupied while waiting for the concert to open? Preferably things that we could do together opposed to just watching movies or playing games on our phones. Also, would bringing camping/tailgating chairs be a bad idea? Think the coat check would take them at the venue?

TL;DR: How can I make waiting in line for a concert bearable? Should I take chairs?

Everyday I'm Slav squatting.

If you do bring chairs/blankets make sure the venue has coat check, otherwise you'll be stuck with them. I usually talk to the people around me, bring a small deck of cards.

just show up whenever you want and crowd surf your way to the front. then nobody can get mad

yeah pretty much this. it'll take you from, "oh my god it's cold out, this sucks, are we close to the doors yet?"

to

"HOLY FUCK I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M SHOOTING RAINBOWS OUT OF MY EYES I JUST WANNA HUG EVERYBODY IS SOMEBODY PLAYING MUSIC IDK LET'S DANCE ANYWAY"

Maybe so. Ive been to the venue before (and the line was pretty damn orderly, considering they had security outside), but never a concert of this "type." please inform me...

i usually do op's mom when im waiting line, i have gotten weird looks before though and a ticket once so be careful

how many people are playing before him? if you go in during the first opener thats probably more than enough.

even if you show up right before he goes on, most people stop being pushy at ddm shows after the first half hour... aka once that MDMA kicks in

I think 2 people are. Doors dont open until 10:00 though which Im not really a huge fan of because I will probably be too beat to go out when I get back to UMD's campus. I thought Floss would come on at 10 but I called the venue today and they told me otherwise...

usually the concert lines that i am waiting at, i have my face painted and I'm tossing out a few WHOOOP WHOOOPS and yelling FAM-IIIIII- LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE (family)

"Rave" - "An all-night dance party, especially one where techno, house, or other electronically synthesized music is played." (IE trap in this case)
