Yeah so i was all excited to have some fun at the railjam at my towns college this weekend, and dont you know it, i fuck myself up. I fell doing some easy trick (most likely lip blind tru) and cut the top of my wrist open right to the bone and got a couple tendons on the way. Needless to say ill be out of work (apprentice electrican) and skiing for a couple months.

WHAT DO I DO , its been 2 days since i got the surgery and im alreaady bored to tears. so please ns, give me some ideas. also any ways to make a little bit of change at home would be cool too.

I know fall can be a depressing season but winter will be here soon enough.

You're surrounded by people who care about you. Sure you can't ski yet and it's hard but life is worth living!

Hang in there!

can always hang out with friends? Practice Wii bowling left handed? find a nice chill app game where all you need to do is tap certain areas of the screen?

Sending positive vibes man. Heal up quick!

no picture of the stitches or the cut without the bandaid? lame

heal up soon though OP

the bandaid was acting as a tourniquet so if it was off id be gushing blood, and i haven even gotten to see any of my stitches yet

I would maybe just ski groomers? If you can wave your wrist around id feel like it would be doable. Ive broken my collarbone (luckily my right hand, I'm a lefty) so i was still able to pee and wack without switching hands so it didnt suck that bad, but maybe practice editing or something to do on a computer. Also broke my jaw last fall and couldn't do shit either. I longboarded, wacked, drew some stuff because I'm into some graphic stuff, obviously NS, did some star gazing on my car. Go out and do some mello yet enjoyable stuff.

Not related to injury but what local are you in? I'm in Detroit Local 58. Nice to see a fellow apprentice that skis.

based out of barrie ontario, non union

I broke my back and couldn't do anything fun. It was a relief when they told me I could start biking. I did that as much as I could and went as fast as I could (definitely a bad idea). In July when I got cleared to ski again, I went straight to summer air bagging without PT. 4 months in a brace will not help too much. I also built this while injured and use it to melt glass.

Sorry for that jumble of nonsense... Just finished a 10 page term paper.
