What to do in Boston?

I'm going up to Boston this weekend from the Philadelphia area to visit my grandfather who was in a really bad accident the other week. He's on his way to recovery though. I wanted to know what I could or where I could go when I'm not at Massachusetts General hospital. Anywhere within walking distance would be great.
