What to bring to a Festival??

I'm leaving in 3 hours to California for a festival and other than whiskey, microbrews, and mary jane I have no idea what I will need. Any ideas from festival experience what I will want to have to increase over-all experience? sorry I didn't searchbar..probably should have
 
a shitload of food and water, and money, obviously a sleeping bag and tent, some shit to cook with like a grill, and a sun shade for when you are sitting around during the day, other than that i cant think of anything else that you really need
 
Molly, some acid (though if you're going to Phish I know you'll easily be able to find it them ). sleeping bag, enough money to purchase more drugs when neccesary. tent, camping grill, and food.
 
should be a great time. wish i could go. i dont bring any drugs with me besides mary jane, they are really easy to get there, and less of a risk if you are not traveling with them. ive found a camelbak is a really good thing to bring also.besides that...id say bring cash to buy goods, and whatever food you think is necessary. I bought wayyy to much food at rothbury so we ended up having to throw alot away.

Music Player

Coolers

Moist toilettes

Soap

Gallons of water (washing yourself)

Easy-up or tarp for shade

Duct tape

Padlock if you've got valuables

Chairs

Lamp for night-time

Small flashlight for finding your campsite

A flag or something to mark your campsite

As much cash as you're willing to spend (you will spend it all)

Condoms (those hippies are dirty)

Air Mattress

Garbage Bags

That should cover the essentials. Make sure you bring canned beer, otherwise they'll take it at the gate. Weather looks like it'll be great. Maybe I'll see you there!
 
all of these things are ideal... but if you are a ranga like me you need SUNBLOCK!!!!

Oh and i always bring a white tee and sharpies, so i either draw on myself while tripping or have people draw on me....cheap concert tee that way.
 
way more water than you think you're gonna need. bring way more of everything than you need. camping in a field you wake up real fucking early and you're going to bed real late so think about the fact that you'll be smoking, drinking etc from when you get up till when you go to sleep. it always sucks to run out of shit with like a day to go in the festival and have to start asking around for shit.
 
The only supplies you need are clothes, water and drugs. I made it through Hunter

Do enough drugs to keep you up the full 3 days= NO TENT/CAMP SUPPLIES

Do enough drugs to kill your appetite for 3 days = NO FOOD

Drink enough water over 3 days = YOU LIVE

So think about it, you go to a fest, don't have to worry about setting up camp/getting food, and you get to live through it.
 
pack half the clothes and twice the money, that was my great-grandfathers philosophy, still works in my generation
 
i was at mountain jam...you forgot to mention that you need cigarettes. as the festival goes on, they'll get way more valuable, and you'll be able to trade that shit for whatever you want.
 
yeah, just go pick up a carton for really cheap at a native shop, no taxes, just be a straight up cig slanger.
 
wow im fucking jealous. considering you've never been to a festival, ill assume you havent seen Phish before. Shit will blow your mind
 
oh shit! you going to Phish Indio? should be a hell of a time. you don't need a list, you need to go and experience everything trey and mike have to offer!
