What sports does NS do when not Skiing?

Heres one to start: I skim a ton, and heres my most recent edit, Im trying to get sponsored for skimboarding at the moment

Go check that out

I like to climb on the rocks in the summer

982632.jpeg

Went to the bugaboos for the first time this summer. That's me leading the last pitch of a route called 'sunshine crack' on snowpatch spire

I actively pursue many white-people sports. This time of year I primarily hunt (bow, rifle, and lots of waterfowling). Once hunting season ends it’s time for ice climbing.

I also actively pursue long-distance hiking, shorter-distance peak bagging, rock climbing, mountaineering, canoeing, kayaking, dabble in ultra running, and also various other outdoor-related pursuits.

I’m not much of a conventional sports person but I enjoy picking up the tennis racket once in a while.

Tennis is fun, also long distance running is fun havent done much canoeing or kayaking tho it all sounds sick

I use to play soccer, mountain bike (both downhill and xc), swim, and dive. Now I just skate a lot more than I ski and I’ll play basketball with my friends at the neighborhood smoke spot after a session.

I just did skimboarding in California on vacation. In Chicago rn, gonna go to ATL for school in a little over a month...probably not much skimming opportunities there lol

My advice: go to MA, specifically cape cod, probs the best for learning, then from east coast, go down to fl or hatteras, or Laguna in the west

I play Jerry on a mountain bike, do some social sport climbing and dabble in whitewater. Did a cool 5 day on the Owyhee River with the organization I interned with this summer.

Otherwise school and dreaming about life after graduating.

Yooo this looks super cool

The Owyhee is sick. Once it hits June the water level is too low to get a raft through keeping it really low trafficked. Guides can take first time kayakers through it mostly drama free as it is mostly class two. We portage only two rapids the whole 50 miles. Amazing trip.

hiking, sometimes biking though i got hurt last summer and blew it off this summer due to everything lol. climbing is really chill and fun with a group of friends who know what theyre doing. learned a little bit about it from them which is fun. just hanging out in the mountains really. me and friends sometimes just go for walks up to the top of our favorite chairs, crack brews, watch the sunset, and thats always a good time.

sounds amazing

Golf is super fun i played for 4 years in HS to play free golf but now that ive been out for years i dont play as much its pretty expensive even at public courses. I play tennis alot in the summer its more fun if you can play with someone your ability, i like the lateral agility and running aspect its more competitive because its more physical then other leisure sports. i also just started mountain biking, Ive been kayaking for a while.

Good times are the top priority

mostly just skating, moved to a place where there isn't a park close by so now I'm having to learn to skate street

High altitude mountaineering. I climbed Mt Kilimanjaro this August, planning on doing Ama Dablam in April then Denali in May

Holy shit fuck thatttttttt. I would have Elvis legs for sure

I’ve been surfing for around 10 years now and it’s the closest thing I can find to the feeling of skiing blower pow, so I haven’t stopped

Picked up skating last summer. Really digging it. Old and brittle but something about flying around a bowl puts a smile on my face.

Also non covid years rock the year round winter. Hoping to get back at it next summer. Got back into surfing in Australia. Was never good at it m and not still but felt good just to be at least comfortable paddling out theough the waves, selecting something decent. Need some work though but i go basically never. I wish i had more friends into it. Would live to do some surf camp trips to the coast. Felt good to get back at it though. Saw humbacks, dolphins, and a big ass ray.

I don't really do any other sporta. Got back into casual golfing. Shits always fun with some friends.

This is rad as fuck if true but I am having trouble picturing this given your online persona lol

Racquetball. For real. It's a badass workout, easy to learn but difficult to master. Pre-covid you best believe I'd be out there sweatin' getting my shit rocked by senior citizens who've played their whole life.

Something about just being able to smash a ball as hard you can while only having to aim for a whole ass entire wall is a ton of fun.

I miss it bad

What route did you end up doing? I did one of the m ones. Maybe macheme? Different up and down which was cool.

Im living right near Rainier atm. Might eventually try and give that a whirl but shes a gnarly fucker. Gorgeous mtn though.

Try it! It only stings for a second if you get got.

Nothing worse than getting elbowed in the schnoze or jamming the fug out of your finger playin bball tbh

I did the Lemosho route. I think I remember you telling me you did the Machame route, which is one of the most popular routes. I really want to do Mt Rainer in the summer, a lot of the great mountaineers have always used Rainer as a good training ground for the Himalayas
