What slr camera to get?

okay i have search bared this and i couldnt find wat i was looking for and i know this should be in media and arts but no one posts ther so I am looking to buy a cheap slr camera i am thinkin about the xti, is there one that is almost as good but cheaper because i dont have much money right now and i also want to buy some decent lenses so please help me.

oh and if anyone has a used one they r selling let me know
 
i was once looking for a cheap slr and it was between the rebel or a nikon, I think d70 but not sure.... the rebel is a solid choice.
 
if u want an slr where u can actually look on the screen to take pictures and not have to always use the viewfinder then i think olympus is the only company that makes one. just something i have noticed, if that's the kind ur lookin for.
 
DSLR: if you want something that is fairly cheep and would be good for taking skiing photos look for a used canon 20D or 30D on Craigslist or ebay. both are supper solid cameras that can get really good results. you don't need high megapixles to get amazing photos. Use the money you save to buy a nice lens or two, for $1500 I got a 30D w/18-55, 50 1.8, 70-200 4L and cards. This set up is working really well for me and was not too expensive.

however...i own an olympus e-500...and i've being really impressed by the shots that i've taken with it..brilliant detail and colour, also the whole camera is fairly easy to use, which helps if you're just starting out
 
k im thinkin the canon xt body for 400 on bhphotovideo.com i have to kit lenses allready the 35-80mm and the 80-200 so i can save moneyfor a decent lense
