I would like your imput on some skis for my mom, I know nothing of wemon skis and I thought you guys probably know more then I do. She does casual skiin nothing seriouse. She is 55. She is just looking for some thing that will work in most condishions. I live out west. She baught her last pair of skis 20 years ago. So this will be considerd a major thing. What do you guys recomenend for binding? Thanks so much for your time.

 
oh man, i cant say i know groomer skis that well but shes probably not used to riding anything with a side cut. if she hasnt bought skis in like a long time she probably wont want to spend a lot of money. get her some 1080 cr pro models with the race base, and some p18s cranked to 18 and a cape.

 
k2 makes alot of good women specific skis, as well as head, there IM series is really good.

Yea, Rossi B1W if she grooms mostly or B2W if she likes to play in the pow and groomers and basically everywhere. Plus it's 'kinda' twin tipped. Those skis kick ass.

And just get the Rossi Axium bindings (100 or 120) to go with it. Spend the cash on a good binding to save her knees.

She doesnt even need to spend the $ on the B1's. I skied nearly every 2005 ski from Salomon,Rossi,Atomic,K2, and vokl at the demos last year. The xpi womens specific from rossi includes a binding for just over $300. It was the best value for a recreational ski I thought. I got on it (the mens version) fairly hard and it held up well.

Of course the B1 would also be nice. I also liked the Salomon street racer series. (also available in a womens specific model)
