What skis should I buy ?

Hey guys, im actually thinking about changing my skis , i have afterbangs for now , i think they are great but i want something different , i love ninthward too, i just dont know anything about them so thats why im asking , thanks guys ! +k for bumps and answers
 
i know that , it was another question i had in mind , it is difficult to ride with longer skis ? my abangs are 177 and its perfect fit so what size should i take for my next pair ?
 
You could probably get away with a longer ski, since you're pretty tall and heavy (not saying you're fat), but if you like your 177's then stay with that size. With that said, if you are looking into buying a very soft ski, or a ski with rocker, you would definitely want to buy a slightly longer ski for more stability.
 
being that you're 5'11 AND 200, 177 is for sure not the right size for you... I mean, it all comes down to personal preference in the end, but you could easily be skiing a 185 and really like the added stability.

What sort of skiing are you primarily doing, how stiff do you like your skis?
 
yeah thats what i was thinking , i might buy the T-hall 181, but im asking myself if this is gonna be Too long..
 
no it is not. i have a feeling that the thall would be too soft for you. another option would be the ar7. it is stiffer yet with your platform can still perform butters without any problems.

the liberty antigens only come in sizes of 160 something, 175, and 184. the antigen is purely libertys answer to a full on park ski. the bases are extruded to take abuse of rails and the edges are really durable (but extruded bases do not hold wax well so expect them to be slower similar to that of afterbangs). the antigen is libertys first park ski with early rise this will help with engaging butters. they are a medium flex in which is playful yet stable. they are almost symmetrical at 116 - 89 - 115.

the liberty lte is a great ski it has been the same for years. its flex is slightly stiffer than that of the armada thall. they are extremely durable. with all their skis liberty uses a bamboo / poplar core that makes the ski super light to have an extremely low swing weight, it makes it super snappy and responsive. the one con is that bamboo after a while will start to de-camber, and if you butter a lot then the tips could develop some early rise. like my liberty phil larose pros (the same ski as the lte just softer) mine have lost some camber and have gotten some early rise, but the ski is still poppy and still responsive.

The thall is soft but stable at speed, great ski. i'm 6'0" 190 and I love the thall, but if u want a jump ski the ar7 is even better, and at our weight u can still butter the ar7. Softer more playfull thall, more pop and stablilty ar7

dont have money for armada , how about k2 domain ? i think they are pretty cool , and they are my first choice after armada .
 
im doing park mostly , and i like them like enough smooth to do some butters but stiff enough too , guy at the skis store told me if i buy the domains he was showing me i should take the 179 ,
 
Lots of guys at shops don't know their shit, I'm alway skeptical (although many really do know their shit, not trying to knock shop guys). Just mentioning it so you take recs with a grain of salt. One guy told me that at 6'3, 180 lbs and as an expert all mountain skier I couldn't handle 189 Hellbents (which I had already owned for a season). He recommended Sir Francis Bacons in 184 for me and I got to laugh in his face when he told me he skied Pocket Rockets.

I don't think Domains come longer than 179. But K2's 179 is much like any other company's 183 or so.

As for ON3P, they make my favorite skis. K2 is my second pick. I would suggest looking into the filthy rich (dedicated park ski) or Jeronimo (all-mountain ski). Both of them are really sick, and really fun skis. I'm sure you would like either, but I would probably suggest the J-mo
 
Thanks buddy, but i think i will go for k2 because im not that good so i dont think it is a need to have the best skus on the market you know
 
^this.....yeah better skis will make you a better skier to some extent and trust me dude....I'm a total line whore so in the end I'm supporting k2 but the worst skis I've ever owned were k2s and I wouldn't recommend those to anyone....if you can afford it go with the on3ps dude....top quality from what I hear....and even if you totally suck, quality trumps all any day of the week partner.
 
Well if ya can pool your money together I'd def get em....those guys know what they're doing and I've really been getting a good vibe from that company....may go without saying but a top quality ski will actually save you money in the long run...I'd suggest giving on3p a call or email and tell em where your at and what ya want....I'm sure they could work somethin out....even if that means a leftover ski who cares....because again I'd rather have a top quality leftover than get a poor quality new ski ya know?
 
domains are really soft and ive seen lots broken personally id get the recoil 1.its way more durrable 2. stiffer 3. more versitle if that matters even though mine will be in the park
