What skiing is not to me.

So I read this from a particular skiier today while just scanning through the forums(which I hardly do anymore anyway)And I thought to myself, what ever happened to the stoke? Whatever happened to respect? What ever happened to people that ride snow and love it? Is that just a thing of the past because skiing has become something totally removed from where it came from. And its sad.

I think this is even from the dude on the front page by the way

Honestly, I don't care what skiing is to anyone else, because the only definition of skiing that matters is my own.
 
i really don't see the attraction to skiing, other then the skiing. i mean, if you don't like to ski, what are you doing on a mountainside in the dark cold (and usually stormy) winter?

but ya know what? if there are more people who ski because it's cool, then the industry gets bigger and shit gets better. so i'm just wondering? why the hate?
 
I know i love skiing or else i wouldnt be up at 9000 feet when its 11 degrees out everyday im able to
 
Love to ski, anything that has to do with it..but I do agree. People, at least where I'm from, give you shit for skiing instead of snowboarding, and don't give you props for nailing something gnarly.

I also like to show off under the lifts too..just to see
 
Haha, I love showing off under the lift, but I definitely see what you're saying. Honestly though, I don't think too many people ski unless they truly love it, why else would you go up to a mountain to freeze your balls off? I think skiing is probably one of the most passionate sports out there, people go because not much beats going up to the mountain with your buddies and tearing shit up all day.
 
The guy who said that is a deuchebag. I vote to have his image removed from the front page because he is a disrespect to skiing. fuck you David B.
