I have a pair of 2016 armada JJs 116 and a pair of 2016 line sir Francis bacons 108. what would be a better touring ski? i mosty tour in north eastern ny and north west vermont.

Neither.

Get a pair of something around 90 or so underfoot for back east touring.

Youre going to be dealing with a whole bunch of variable weird snow conditions in the backcountry. Even out west, Id rarely go much wider than 100-110 to be honest. You just don't need it.

I can only add to this by saying that with modern ski shapes, anything 100 or more CAN do the job in whatever you want. And also sometimes its nice to sink deeper and get those face shots and shit

If you have to choose between those two skis, go with the SFB's...

If only because it will be a more versatile option.

But, honestly, just get yourself a pair of used beaters that are like 90ish underfoot, and then tune the base and edges. those will be prime for touring.

I use JJ 116s for touring in Eastern Canada. They are super heavy and I wish I was on something narrower pretty often, but they get the job done just fine and are awesome when the snow's deep.
