What ski movie would you watch with friends who don't ski?

So if you were gonna sit down and watch a ski movie with your friends who don't ski, what movie would you put on? I'm thinking Refresh, good mix of everything, good big mountain segs and its got the history/storyline going.

Like a Lion because you dont have to be interested in 'newschool' skiing specifically to find the story of tanners life interesting. and it has great ski history too.

Steep (prod Sony?)

or

The Story (prod The Ski Channel)

Unless you're talking about just showing your friends newschool movies. Both of the above cover most types of skiing and have some narrative. The thing about showing newschool movies like Refresh etc to non-skier friends is that, although they will always find the tricks and stuff impressive, they don't truly appreciate the difficulty of the tricks and dedication that is put in. The two movies above, or at least Steep (cause I haven't seen The Story entirely), not only show some newschool skiing but also attempts to explain the passion that drives skiers, no matter what discipline of skiing.

First I would make them watch one of the more recent flicks such as eye trip, EDIAS, Etc. Then I would make them watch older flicks like session 1242, TBC just to see how far skiing has come progression wise. Not to mention a lot of the older segments were way ahead of their time.

This. And I agree with Like A Lion. And if Big Mountain will put friends to sleep, then I find it hard to believe they will find any real appreciation for freeskiing.

Thats it. Thats all.

single most impressive snow film ever made.. you can show people that have never even seen snow that movie, and there jaw will be on the floor for half of the flick.

EDIAS
Impressive skiing and a lot of shit to keep people who don't know entertained, like sliding chair cables, couple laughs from TJ. And if nothing else the soundtrack is sick

GNAR would definitely be up on the list because its entertaining and has some good skiing. backflip bangers off of cornices always impress non-skiers

also eye trip or refresh, and for some reason head for the hills cause that always gets me,

definitely nothing that has too much big mountain, like light the wick, cause it would put them to sleep

and....

HOT DOG THE MOVIE

better off dead. best old ski movie EVAR. and ur friends willbe entertained, and u can laf at the retarded stunts. netflix the shit

Sorry for dub post, but you could never watch a TGR because of this, you would have to watch something explosive and fast-gratifying, like EDIAS or maybe a 4bi9

i've converted a few of my buddies to skiing since they associate with it thru me and know my other friends who are big into it...

So we watched Eyetrip and Revolver and they are all blown away by some of it...mostly the crazy urban and park stuff

I watched like a lion with my friends and they did'nt really get the whole lifestyle still sorta. I thought it would be a really good one but i would'nt recommend it, then again there pretty girly and stupid

this... but if you really want a movie something from level 1

people who dont know anything about skiing are always blown away by lots of urban

GNAR, Come Find Us, Pretty Good, or a Meatheads Film

that is if they are anything like me cept for not skiing.

That's It, That's All. I have sat down with a few people that aren't snow enthusiasts and watched this video. They love it. Who wouldn't love it?

I think Deeper is a cool video for them to peep as well. Shows what humans are really capable of accomplishing when they're fully dedicated.
