What site is best to buy boots?

no, no return policy, which is key if you are buying boots and you dont know if they are going to fit your feet properly.
Evogear and backcoutry both have excellent return policies as well as proctorjones. I would buy from them.

none. go to a shop and buy boots from someone who knows what they are talking about and who can help you out when you inevitably have fit issues with them.

don't feel like your shop is screwing you over when they charge you for custom boot work if you find out what you need there and then buy it online....

Word. You need to at least have to figure out what you like. For reference, my cousin's shop in Albuquerque charges a dollar a minute for bootfitting for boots that aren't going to be purchased at the store. He says they have a half-hour minimum. Granted, most people don't get charged, but it's a dick move for sure to take up a person's time and then not give them anything in return and just bounce out, 'na mean?

Anyways, for starters you should also read Lyndon's thread on self-bootfitting, so you get the idea.

Bottom Line: Try them on first at a shop where they can tell you what's "good". Jea.
