Title says it. I am an expert skier, 5,9 160-165 pounds
I was thinking a pair of griffons or deadbolts but i am unsure. Give me some helppppps
Thanks!
p.s. +k for help

Tyrolia Peak 18 or 15(Deadbolt is probably a Tyrolia Mojo 15 or 14 or something). Don't get deadbolt/peak 12.

And mount -2.5 back minimum(FACTORY RECOMMENDED, AND THEY ACTUALLY THOUGHT IT THROUGH). I mounted mine at -2 and they ride switch amazingly, but for pretty much everything I wish I had mounted -3.5 or so. I think that -2.5 is about center of the running surface, which is where you should mount if you were looking to mount 'center' anyways, it's where is in contact with groomers.. center mounting these would be stupid, they'd still work well but not as well at anything as -2.5 does.

thanks for the help!!!! although i have thought this through, i decided to go with jesters cause i can get a really good deal. I have deadbolts on my park skis and love em but with this deal at hand, i cant refuse

I'm with him. Jesters are over hyped well marketed. Much better options available, especially for the price tag on Jesters.

STH14 driver, used S914, Peak 15's, FKS 14 (or better yet fks155), and even px14s ect are better options IMO.

While Jesters are not terrible, but I would definitely look at other options first. You can find older mojo/peaks for nothing these days. Check level 9 sports.

yeah ill check around, i went to level 9 sports and they are redoing it so i have to wait till sunday.....unhappy face

well in the 15+din range...

sth16/916

peak 15/18

marker comp 18(non biometrix toe bull shit)

fks 155/185(new 14s blow)

px 15/18

The toe isn't the full metal one piece race toe like the old 155's/185's,the new 18's, and PX15/18. It's a mainly plastic one like the PX 12/14,old fks120 ect. Has vertical release and isn't nearly as durable as the full metal one.

I guess they figured the 155 sales were cutting into the 185, which is probably right, as a lot of people who would usually buy the FKS155 are going with the new 18's.

The new FKS 14 is essentially identical to the fks120 from a few years ago, but with a 14 din.

Thats my take on it, and i'm guessing Thomas's is the same.

-cm is what I prefer. I do mostly freestyle but if backcountry is your primary concern then mount it back atleast a cm or 2
