What should i buy

hi guys,

just wanted the community opinion on this..

i have park skis already so not for park skiing at all - i like big drops, a bit of acrobatics and deep powder, love skiing trees

i am 186cm/6"1 and 90kg/200lb-ish and will be skiing in tignes france (mostly freeride), maybe japan for a bit and most likely 6 weeks in chile in the summer - let me know your thoughts :))

In european terms, freeride means backcountry, right? Those skis are all great picks, but you should probably be concerned about weight if you're skinning uphill

Also I'm pretty sure Sego is out of business

yes and no freeride from my understanding is just skiing in ungroomed/unmarked/unrecognised terrain - you can do a lot of freeride skiing without skinning and for most of my hiking i bootpack; so this is still an issue as i have to carry my skis - i dont ever really have a problem with it though.

yeah sego don't sell them anymore but i have found a guy willing to sell me a pair :)

I like my Season Nexus a lot, we are similar shaped people too

I’m intrigued by season eqpt.. like I’d never heard of them until maybe 2 months ago and they seem to be popping up a lot - are they a new brand or just doing some rebranding? Never seen a pair in the wild or in a ski movie either?

They have been out for a handful of seasons now. Eric Pollard is the guy behind the ski shapes, so if you've skied any of his designs in the past, it's more of that.
