I need to get my pistos and some LOOK bindings mounted up sometime soon and I want to make sure its done right anyone have advice on a good shop to go to? I was thinking about sturtevents or maybe fairhaven ski and bike

You can go to Sturtevants if you want to listen to a bunch of cock ass sacks of dick, bullshit about twin tips and talk about how they can ski black diamonds and shit. You can go to Fairhaven if you want even worse son of fucks mounting your shit for about ten million cents more than it should be.

OR

You can go to Seattle Ski and deal with actual skiers who ski more than once a year off the groomers (unlike the other shops) and get your shit done right.

i went to sturtavents and asked when the 4-frnts were coming in and the guy goes 'uhh, 4frnts...uhh boots right? who makes them?'

wow so that right there shows you how fucked up sturevents is. I was in there nor more than 2 weeks ago and asked them if they'd be carrying 4frnt cuz i was looking for thr 187s the salesman told me that they wouldn't be carrying 4frnt. He eaxplained that it was becasue they felt that 4frnt still had some bugs to work out in the skis and didn't wantto carry them until they were in solid shape. Which is bull shit cuz 4frnt is rock solid I've never heard a bad review on these skis

The shop itself is badass, the owner and manager are really cool, but they hire entirely the wrong people. The salesmen there are fucking clownshoes, if you have any questions about what they're getting in and when ASK ME, and I will call the manager if I don't know the anwser.

simple go to seattle skis, where you can hang out, talk with people who actully ski all the terrain and if they dont know the answer they will tell you, no bullshit.

I talked to Tracy the manager of sturtevant's today. She is definitley getting 4frnt's, and a pair of 187 msp's is in that order.

To be totally frank, some of the guys in that shop have really oversized ego's, and have a hard time admitting that they're not sure on something. Its unfortunate but it makes em good salesmen to the old peeps.

So if you have any questions about sturtevant's what they're gonna carry, feel free to ask me, and i will find out the real anwser

dude, how is the shop cool? it's entirely geared to the fucking bellevue microsoft crowd...they have no cool clothes, a few cool skis and their snowboard shop sucks shit! AND THEY COPIED THEIR NAME FROM THE BIGGEST SNOWBOARD SHOP IN ALASKA! the only somewhat cool thing about sturtevants is john barcy.

you can get sivercartel streetwear and outerwear at any shop? Don't think so buddy, Sturtevant's is the only shop in WA other than a sporthaus in dennewick and yakima that carries the stuff

ok, i thought about it and ill take some shit back. it is cool that sturtevants bought a shit load of skis and its cool that they are trying to get into the market. but at the same time, trying to get into the market sounds like some heroic feat, when really it is just investing some money on equipment. i haven't been there in awhile, so i guess i can't judge ALL the shop workers there, but i will safely assume that some most definately fit the 'i know everything about everything because i read the catalog specs and the rep talked to me' stereotype. there is a big difference between a shop buying some freeride skis and apparel versus one that dedicates themselves souly to the sport, which is something to respect as it is a riskier than playing strip poker with schwags in a room with cody.

no no no no!!!! seattle ski is SOUTH of 145th by about a mile or two.

as for sturtevants. don't like them any time i take my skis there for mounting or anything really, they look at me like im an idiot. always saying that i must ski really hard and trash my skis. some of the guys in the shop area can be really nice, but most of them are dipshits.

as for them opening up a freeride shop. that would be cool. they should just get rid of ski mart and put it there, or just turn ski mart into it. have some people in the ski mart shop that are willing to mount bindings forward rather than racer stance.

i stop by sturtevants every now and them and the chicks there are pretty nice, but most of the guys are assholes. but seattle ski is pretty much the only shop i go to now, especially since its right by school.

yah, someplace like the mart would be a good place for a freeride shop...but now that we have some twins we're asking ppl whether they want them center mounted now which is good i guess...yah, the guys in the sturts shop talk about me trashing my skis too,wow a BIG 7 cracks in the edge..right... but if they only saw grants last pair of skis (30 something cracks in one ski), they'd really know what trashed looked like

hmm seattle skis is north of 145th, you can take that exit off i5 then turn right at the main interesction. its just below the mc d's on aurora.
