What protective equipment do you use?

A lot of people wear helmets, but you can't tell what people are wearing under there jackets.

I was just wondering if anybody wears knee/hip/elbow/back pads?

I was thinking it might be worth considering for when you have bad falls.

Do you think it would actually prevent you from breaking bones or just stop bruises making them pointless?

Hip pads because bad bruises from falling on ice are really fricken annoying. You'll still bruise but it definitely helps. I do not care one bit about not keeping it raw because I'd rather be out skiing than complaining about how I can't go skiing because I got hurt.

Usually just helmet. I occasionally where rib and hip pads because i broke a rib a few years back, and it hurts like a bitch when you fall on a rail onto your hip. I always wear a helmet though, because a concussion is the last thing on earth i need

I wear a helmet and backbrace

Sometimes during big air comps I wear a mouth guard because last season I bit through my tongue

Helmet, POC Hip Shorts, POC Spine VPD 2.0. The helmet is an absolute must, and the Hip Shorts have (literally) saved my ass a number of times from rails and ice. The spine protector might be a bit overkill, especially at $220, but if you're engaging in heinous shit I would recommend it.

I wear a helmet and and old pair of basketball compression pads. I cut out the tailbone pad because sitting on the chair with it is worse than dealing with tailbone pain.

not many people notice it, but if you look close you can actually see a lot of pros wearing protection

for example max hill

look close and you can clearly see he's wearing one of these underneath

Helmet and back protector at all times because i fractured my L4/L5 last year aha:/ might invest in some hip pads, not sure yet. skiing with a back brace already gets annoying

You won't regret the hip shorts. The POC ones are super comfortable (almost to the point that I forget I'm even wearing them) and are clutch as hell when shit hits the fan.

Helmet always and usually a back protector, I have already broken my back once so I definitively feel wearing a back protector is well worth it. I got a sweet grinder at the moment but I might go back to the soft shell vest type this season as the hard shell is a bit uncomfortable especially when I bend my back since its not allot of padding on the inside. Also it looks huge under a hoodie.

And I have a hip protector to but its a very cheap model with little padding so I don't use it allot but might upgrade and start using it more on icy days.

Usually wear a knee brace on my bad knee and a helmet. Thinking about getting a back protector as well just for peace of mind when doing crazy shit, but I don't know.

A helmet and poc hip and tailbone shorts usually been thinking bout a back pad though it would be a little Sus because I don't even do shit but the hip pads are sick super comphy easy to forgot your wearing them the only problem is that they can add an inch or 2 on your waist so it holds up pants so can be a little complicated to sag using suspenders
