What program to use for timelapses?

So i've asked a bunch of people, but haven't really gotten any good responses. I have a mac. I have FCP, plus every imovie but the latest one. I also have istopmotion, but couldn't ever find how to import pictures. So does anything i have work well for making them? Do I need something different?
(there has to be some other threads on this, if any seem to apply to my inquisitions and it wouldn't be too much trouble, I could use directing to them)
