What pow skis to buy

I'm going to get some new powder skis this year and I'm not sure what to buy. I want something fat but not super fat. I want them to be playful and also be able to cut through the crud. I have been thinking the Line Erice Pollard's Opus or Moment Night Trains or maybe Rossignol S7's. Any input would help.

praxis mvps in probably a medium flex depending on your weight and needs.

moment ghost chants look like a ton of fun as well, but i dont think they would ski the greatest. really want to get a pair for fucking around but there just no way for me to justify them

Opus is super fun and versatile. I've heard good things about the S7 too, but with the pintail design it's a very directional ski. Not a problem if you don't ski switch, but something to keep in mind.

2013 Line influence 115. Wide but not too wide, Med-stiff flex. I cant wait to get some more snow so I can get out on mine. They're going to kill everything.

Theyre honestly just a tad stiffer than the opus... I mean I could tell a difference but they werent like OMG these are 2x4's. They still have good pop.

Night Train's man. I've skied S7's (which I didn't like all that much to be honest), SFB before last year/this year's redesign, ARG's, Czar's, and JJ's.

I can't say anything about the Opus. It looks bad-ass and fun.

If you want to feel like you're becoming a better all around skier(sharing opinions with people I ride with) I'd get:

Moment Night Train's

Moment Bibby's

ON3P Billy Goat's

ON3P Caylor's

Rossignol S7's

4FRNT CRJ's

4FRNT Renegade's

You can pick up something like a JJ or SFB super easy and they're fun, but what I and everyone I ride with notices- is that the skis you have to take little time to adjust to become the most fun skis and you really feel yourself getting better in the deep stuff. You also become reluctant to try anything else.

I have the JJ's and Night Trains now and am probably going to get rid of the JJ's as my "it hasn't snowed very much this week" skis. The Night Trains are phenomenal in pow. Whether it's up to your ankles or waist, you'll feel like you're a fucking pro.

Which brings me to a potentially high-jacking question. Late-January to mid-Febuary is probably when I'm going to get new daily drivers. I use my Night Trains about 95% of the time, but they will become more of a dedicated powder ski when I get new daily drivers. JJ's are going (anyone want to buy?) and my question is how would the ON3P Jeffrey be for an all-around ski? Does anyone own it?

I watched the recent edit in the park and pow with them and it's just amazing.http://vimeo.com/51412939

I just got this years Jeffrey. Only skied on it a couple of times now but it is amazing! Real stable in crud and bumps, floated well in the little fresh we had and were super poppy and fun. Plus they are bullet proff as far as I could tell. Oh ya they can also rail on groomers. I'd recommend them

The exact backing up I wanted to hear! My Night Trains can do crud, but only if it's on the softer side, and as for bumps- no way. These sound perfect for a two ski quiver.

Thanks man. I'll probably pull the trigger when the time comes, just any reinforcement makes this cautious buyer feel better before making a big purchase.
