Loveland is dope. Curious why keystone over a basin/copper or even the other epic resorts?

Seasons right around the corner.

What’s everyone committing to?

I’m getting Loveland and Keystone ?

Full Ikon and Keystone plus pass. Really excited since I have't skied at Keystone or Breck in like a decade. Also potential Crested Butte trip this season and some night laps

Keystone night laps, Breck after 4/1, price. I weighed getting summit pass but the extra $ didn’t make sense for what I wanted. I like the option of popping over the pass between Loveland and Keystone but I don’t want to deal with tunnel metering or the tunnel for the most part. Ikon resorts were very crowded last year and the price for a base pass is same as a full epic now. A Basin is great but it was so damn crowded last year. So for what I wanted, a basin and ikon didn’t make sense. But of any other pass, I’d probably get the a basin. I like to stay in the Loveland pass corridor.

i bought all camo gear so I can just sneak on every single lift (they cannot see me)

Miss DP. Loveland has partner days with DP now. I might try to make it to Tahoe this year.

Also my epic pass had my photo from my first day of orientation at Northstar in 2016 lol

DP is the bomb on pow days, especially mid-week. i can smash a couple hours of work early and then shred until i'm beat with plenty of time left over to round out the work day. drop me a line if you make it this year for sure

it might be hard to believe but in my first season coaching at northstar (before vail ownership started to have real impact on operations) we were allowed to wear our own gear. i coached in full black XL saga gear with just a northstar name tag. i was actually comfortable, warm and dry while working!

Tahoe Local for Heavenly/Northstar/Kirkwood and IKON for Squaw/Mammoth and traveling to other resorts.

Epic Tahoe Local, mainly for Kirkwood.

Amusing how many people are getting the epic pass. Imo not worse than getting an ikon, you are either supporting one big corporation or another. Epic has better pricing imo. For me it's mainly that Palisades is too crowded, sugar bowl too expensive and Sierra at Tahoe too limited.

kirkwood is the bomb. super shreddy terrain if you're into that, as much snow and you can handle, and about two dozen people skiing there at a time. from my girls place in carson it is equidistant to kirkwood, heavenly and northstar, so we always go to kirkwood. i save the northstar shreddy days for mid-week park laps and then DP whenever (especially mid-week pow days), cause it's always fun there.

lol my man not even mentioning heavenly. I can't really stand heavenly anymore. I'd go there for a ski trip because the hotels are relatively cheap, but every single time I get fucked up by some heavenly bullshit (can't open their lifts, wind and lightning holds, shitshow of jerries and incomplete terrain). Northstar at least has the park, good operations, express lifts and decent enough skiers. Heavenly on paper has it all, but in reality the stars have to align for me to have a legitimate good day there.

And yeah, don't really need to say- kirkwood is the only reason I have the pass. One of my favorite places in the world. Only gets crowded on some pow days for chair 6/10 or spring days you have to wait like 2 minutes for sunrise. Most waiting is on the slow lifts. Can't really complain though. Terrain is amazing.
