so i used the searchbar and found out that a thread had bene made about my topic^. Also the date is from 2003 which is fairly out dated. So more recently what do u all think should not be worn by a skier. it doesnt have to be like an ac/dc jacket but more of what is played like oakley (ouch) and stuff like that. im interestedto hear what u have to say

since when is oakley played? everything's fucking played, go buy all walmart gear cus that's about the only thing that isn't "played".
 
yeah exactly, it's an opinion, aka, nothing's really played, wear what you want.

are there going to be a ton of kids in neon green pants/jackets this year? yeah. in blue aeryx suits? yeah. who cares? if the people wearing them like them, that's all that matters.

will you look like a tool if you have a $600 jacket/pants setup and you pizza wedge down the hill? probably, but who cares, if people have they money, they might as well get nice shit.

twin tips are played, fuckin everyone has them now.
 
i tottally agree and im not trying to start and argument...but i think that there is a point where something is unorigional and everyone is wearing it.

you know, there's a kid that was in mount snow academy last year that wore the rabbit years thing over his helmet. If you saw some random kid from wherever rockin that, you'd probably talk shit, at least to your friends on the lift. But that kid is real good, I'm pretty sure he won the rail contest last season.

some things oakley sells are definitely widely worn ("played"), so if you think it's lame that's cool, but keep in mind that oakley was one of the first companies behind "newschool" skiing. who sponsored most of the big time originals? who put money into ski comps, who put out the first team movie for skiing? i think its awesome that a lot of kids rock it.
 
Boots that are two sizes to big,

pants that are much smaller then jackets.

super ugly helmets and goggles with sick gear

rental pole (I SAID IT!)

anything made by spyder

one of those fucking watches that tells your altitude change and shit.
